Dont know for sure if it will be required but my guess is yes because it says PCC for any place you lived longer than 6 months.

We mailed our forms and they got to NVC last Friday(20th) and was in the system Monday afternoon (23rd) A lot of the packages seem to be getting case complete in a week or so if no RFE. Hopefully ours will be done by the end of the month.

okay guys....im preparing docs for NVC and i have a question regarding the police cert : i will have one from my country. however i was an intern for 18 months in the US (J-1 visa) - do I need one from the US as well?

I don't think one is required from the US.

This is from the Department of State website:

Note: Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.

I called NVC today to check on my AOS and IV (which they received on 25th, today is 27th) and the operator told me that they are not going to process my IV yet because the payment was not processed. What are they talking about?!?!?!?!?!?! They took the money now they say they don't have it. So I asked to talk to a supervisor and she told me that she will take care of it and to call on Monday to check again, but she also told me that this will take up to 15 days to be resolved. Anyone else out there had this experience before?

Thank you

Am I going crazy or what?? I just got ahold of NVC to try and get our NVC #. The lady told me it can take 4-6 weeks to get the info from USCIS before they could give me this number. I told her I had evidence from many people that it is a matter of days not weeks before that number is available. She said yes, that's possible, but it can take up to 12 weeks!!

Something doesn't seem right ?

If you are wanting a July to August date for your interview. then time the completion of NVC for the first 2 weeks of June. Do this by having the fees paid and AOS already sent in then just send the package IV end of may that should give you the time frame you are shooting for if you don't get an RFE on the IV package.
