I've just talked to an operator, she said that our 2 packages were reviewed today and that they are waiting to get case completed, so maybe by the end of the week we will get our case completed i'm soooooooooo happy

I sent in our I-864 last week, but did not send the DS-230 until today. They should receive it by tomorrow. I hope to get ours done by end of month (my goal). Also WE GOT INTERVIEW SCHEDULED FOR THE K-3 visa on May 11th, I am really hoping that they will allow us to switch the interview to the CR-1 visa interview (assuming all the paperwork processes to Manila in good time). This might save us a month of wait time for the CR-1 interview to get scheduled.

Anyone out there with the experience of switching the K-3 to a CR-1 interview?

i'm so confused i just checked the AVR system and there was a message saying

" THE NVC HAS REVIEWED YOUR PACKETS OF FORMS AND FOUND INFORMATION MISSING OR INCOMPLETE , THE NVC MAILED A LETTER ON MARCH 23 2009 INDICATING WHAT DOCUMENTATION IS MISSING OR COMPLETE............"

I think that i know the problem now,the same problem that happened to Em4oAndKrisi; i checked where we paid online, and found that they show 400$ as unpaid, even if we have paid it and that they took the money from the bank and we sent them the cover sheet which shows the fee was paid, i'm so confused.....please Em4oAndKrisi how did you manage to solve the problem...?

i just talked to an operator and she told me that our documents are complete but we have a problem with 400$ fee; i told her that we have paid it and printed out the coversheet, she said that we have paid it before it was invoiced, i answered her that we paid it once it was available to be paid so it is not our fault,she answered that they know that is not our fault but we have to wait until they fix this problem because in their system in one part it shows paid and in another part it shows unpaid, she told me not to worry and to give it just few days until they fix the problem and then our case will be completed and then wait until the second week of april to get an appointement date...

do you think i should keep calling them so they fix it quickly or wait until next week then start bugging them if it is not resolved???

I would call and bug them everyday...its their fault...you gotta light a match under their behinds and things will get done...don't sit for 2 days like the operator said...just keep calling...atleast everyday...not 10 times a day though...lol

I have read once in this forum, that this things happened a lot, so no worries, everything will be fine, just keep calling them and talk to an operator, 'cause sometime they don't enter it to the system, I think you suppose to wait until the AVR says that the IV bill has been generated.

Hi to all!! Yesterday my husband saw the same thing... Paid and Unpaid the IV fee... we´ll call today to know what is happening, because the AVR just said that the IV was generated on march 17th and i sent my documents and the ds-230 with the coversheet on march 16th.

I want to know too if Anyone has changed the K-3 to a CR-1 interview? Is it possible??

just a quick comment, the OP is right. People try to do the filing of paperwork and paying of bills fast and the NVC system is not set up for that. NVC wants slow and orderly and people want fast so when the two collide, little problems like this arise. I am at the same point and see light at the end of the tunnel, but now towards the end is when some patience and carefull planning can payoff with a trip to PINK SLIP Paradise!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

Princess, I am in the EXACT same situtation today. Only my problem was further complicated becasue I did not mail the 2 packages together. She said she would contact her Supervisor and have the problem corrected. I told them the IV pacakage has the barcoded coverpage which proves I have paid the fee. She agreed. Anyway, I expect this will be resolved in the next 2 days or so. I just hope we do not get another RFE for something on our IV DS-230 package. Once we are out of NVC I hope we can jump into the May 11th K-3 interview with our CR-1 interview!!!!!
