I got another theory guys and gals, VSC is transferring June - September 2008 files to CSC, so the total for 80,000 cases is span out for 4 months backlog. While CSC is doing June - September 2008, VSC is going to concentrate on clearing December 2007 - May 2008. So by the time the transfer process finish on April 2009, if the whole transfer process is taking 8 weeks, both VSC and CSC would be making the "within 6 months" target which means by April 2009, VSC would be doing October 2008 cases and CSC would probably be doing December 2008/January 2009.

I hope you're right - we should see an approval soon, fingers crossed!

GolferAdam we are in TX too. I am not sure what will happen now, but I am not at all happy about this... Especially because it seems like it will take another 6 months of wait before we hear anything... However, I notice that you sent your paperwork in May, we sent ours in June, and got transferred, do you think yours might have stayed in VSC? Or have you received a NOA like mine above?

So far it appears to have stayed at VSC. No snail mail NOA or update on uscis.gov website for us yet.

What date does your NOA shows that VSC received your paperwork????

The theory so far seems to be that those who were received after June 1st have been transferred, but we really don't have much info to go from...

I dug out the NOA that said my wife was getting an extra year extension on her status because we filed.

Here are pertinent dates:

NOA date: June 4, 2008

Receipt date: May 29, 2008

USCIS Website says: On June 6, 2008 we received this CRI89....

Still no notice that we got transferred yet. They may be working through them though because people are slowly getting more notices.

Here is my optimistic opinion:

USCIS realized the great injustice being rendered to VSC filers in comparison to CSC filers in terms of processing times. Therefore, they are transferring our cases to CSC, where they will be processed immediately and we will be the next folks approved!!!

If your NOA date is 6/4/2008, you should be transferred too, may be I'm wrong, but hey! call USCIS to find out if you're getting transfer or not.

If you call, we might be able to find out what their criteria is to be transferring people from one center to the other....
