I hope we get it soon too so we can have the medical exam over and done with. By the way, I was checking out this link http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfiven.pdf and I didn't see any ds 156 form that you had mentioned that needed to be filled out... What are those forms for anyway?

Why do you need the w-2 for 2007 , it's the year 2009 now . And the most recent tax year is 2008 , so they will use 2008 annual income to determine the fiancial support . And why do you think you need the CRS Form No. 4 (CENOMAR) Republic of the Philippines National Statistics Office Manila Office of the Civil Registrar General , when you are allready married . It is only to be used to show if you are not married , cause in the Philippines divorce is illegal . Your Marriage License proves you are married

You dont need a special letter from the USCIS or NVC or Usembassy to take the medical exam . You just need the noa#1 and the aproval notice from USCIS , allso the letter from NVC that your file has been fowarded to the usembassy . After the time has passed that says in the letter from nvc , start your medical exam , you will have a case number assigned to you starts with MNLthen the year NVC received your file from USCIS then a number . And the Saint Lukes Medical Center will find the information there , using the Case Number . You just need it from the 3 USCIS NVC and Usembassy (wonce the Usembassy recieves your file from NVC , they will let you take the medical exam . Without any problems , if you are awaiting your letter from Usembassy expect to wait 2 and a half months for that letter to arrive . (All you have to do is wait up to the point that Usembassy recieves your file), if you can show that now (you can allready take the medical exam).

hI there

I am done with my interview view last friday the 13th and THANK GOD I GOT A PINK SLIP. I know the feeling of being away from our loved ones.It is daily agony but it pays once your done with your medical and interview. The only questions asked from by the lady american consul at room 27 was my petitioners bday and his sons and the date of his divorce and how long he stayed here and what are our plans for marriage and then she saw all the pictures and said that we look good together she wished me more love more happines and more life as couple.. and after that 4 minute interview.she said congratulations and call my fiance na because we will soon be together. My prayers were all answered coz i only asked for a less than 5 minutes interview and that is what God granted me...IT WAS REALLY AMAZING HOW GOD CAN WORK IN MANY MYSTERIOUS WAYS...GODBLESS AND GOD SPEEND ..JUST REALXED AND PRAY AND SING ...HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU..WILL BE FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE IT...

They still need the CENOMAR even for married beneficiaries. The "CENOMAR" will indicate all your marriages (if more than one). If you aren't then it will simply state that you haven't entered into any marriage. I don't remember which site or forum I read it from but they say they ask that still for verification purposes. It wouldn't hurt to get one anyway. As they say "better safe than sorry". Plus the site from the Embassy DOES indicate that you need the CENOMAR/MARRIAGE INDEX even if you are already "legally" married.

Is this valid even for IR-1 visas? I noticed that the process and requirements for the fiancee and spouse visas are different. I think both April and I are under IR-1 petition.

Hi there, congratulations for having your interview date and good luck on it. With your check list, it seems are ready for your interview. Am just curious, when did you know you case got approved at the USCIS? Coz in our case, I received a letter from them last Dec 12 stating that both my I-129 and I-130 have been approved on the same day, Dec. 11. Due to that, we decided to pursue the I-130 instead. Then on Jan 14, without receiving any notice from the USCIS that our case has been forwarded to NVC, I received an approval notice from the US Embassy for my K3 visa but none for the IR-1/ CR-1. I assumed they have submitted our case to NVC because the US Embassy already mailed me a letter saying our case has been approved and that I am good to go for the medical exam for a K3 visa. But since we are going for the IR-1, I am still waiting for that letter from the embassy with my appointment date. Oh by the way, we hired a lawyer in the US to handle our case but unfortunately I don't feel he is doing his job well in updating us. That is exactly why I'm here asking around so I would know what to ask/ demand from him, since our case is almost a year next month. Also, I've read somewhere here that we don't need to wait for the embassy to mail us the appointment date, we could check it thru the NVC website. Is that really possible? Unfortunately, I don't know what to do or where to start. Any advice from you or our fellow VJers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and good luck to all of us.
