Hi again. When I go to PAL to buy my ticket, they say I need visa in hand. If my fiance wants to buy the ticket online, can he do it? We are thinking of getting the PAL flight to Honolulu and then the Hawaiian Airlines flight to LAX.

Any thoughts on whether we can buy the ticket online? Has anyone else done this? Thanks!

Your fiance can buy your ticket online in USA and pick it up in USA too, and just send it to you via mail.

If you will buy your ticket directly from PAL (Philippines), they require to see your visa.

In my opinion, it is best to buy ticket with visa on hand. You wont screw your flight schedule.

I am traveling in 2 days to get my fiancee in the Philippines and bring her back with me. I bought her one way ticket over the phone on Northwest Airlines with no problem. The visa will be required at checkin at the airport and also the CFO stamp will be needed prior to permission to board the plane. Northwest had no mention of any visa or why I was purchasing her a ticket to USA one way.

I purchased my fiance tickets over the phone also.

But if you try to purchase tickets from PAL they wont sell them to a Filipino unless they have a Visa first.

Been there, done that........
