Anyone remember the Kinks? Good band to see live. And Boston has had their share of good bands, Boston, Aerosmith, J Geils Band.

Seen every one of them bands live in concert and the Kinks rocked big time. Boston I saw as the opening band for Black Sabbath, Aerosmith many times as they used to travel so much many years ago and The J Geils Band I saw at a New Years show. Of course all many years ago.

Do you remember where you saw Geils for the New Year show?

It would have been many years ago but I may still have the ticket stub at home and can try and dig it out when I go home. It would have been late 70's abouts. Possible early 80's.

Was it in Texas? I'm just curious as they had a big following in New England and Detroit.

Here is my favorite band that I have seen many times but never in a big concert venue. I used to go see him at clubs as he played every weekend somewhere unless he was out of town playing somewhere. I was out of the U.S. for a couple of years and I came back and he exploded big time. I was not shocked as we was wondering why he hadn't already for years before. He was amazing.

Messed up the link.

Actually no. I think that was in New Orleans I saw that one. I seen many bands up north and in that area but I am sure it was not J Geils band up that way.

That is a great song and also, "Couldn't stop the rain."

Shame he had to die when he just finally made it big time. I would have loved to see him on the big stage.

I guess I forgot about this little ole band from Texas. I do take them for granted as I have seen them so often in concert and for so many years and one even lives a few blocks from me.

Right on
