hello everybody,

I really need your expert opinion on this matter. My interview for my GC will be on Feb 13 thats this friday!

Now part of the evidence required is a lease agreement, right now we are renting a place with a close family friend but theres no formal or contract on the matter because of course we are considered a family. What shall we prepare in lieu of the lease agreement? BTW we have letters send to both to my hubby and me in this place as well as our internet bill and some letters addressed individually. Would that be enough?

Please i need your advice soon.

Thank you so much.

I've seen a lot of people in similar situations get a notarized affidavit from the person with whom they live stating the living arrangements. That may be suitable for you, too.

USCIS TIMELINE

N400 (Citizenship Application):

Package sent: 02/17/2012

NOA Date: 02/21/2012

When we went to our interview today, the lady asked as if we have a lease...I told her that the apartment cannot add my name on my wife's lease because I don't have a legal status yet..and I told her that we had a letter from our leasing consultant that they will add my name as sson as I got my legal status and she was ok with that!

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Thank you so much everyone. I got approved and the only document they asked from us is the following:

1. Latest Bank Statement (Joint Account)

2. Insurance Documents (Health, Vision, Dental)

Thants all. But i did bring the affidavit and he didnt ask for it or any other things.

Its better to be ready than sorry. Right everyone. AT least all the documents i bring makes me more confident.

Thank you again.

Yes i really agree, its really good we have the VJ gives us guide on what to do and what to bring. Sometimes, its just depends on the IO but its really still better to be prepared and have everthing they possibly asked.

The IO said that for I751 they will be more thorough. So we will be even be more prepared then.

Thank you so much everyone and thank you so much VJ.
