Aussie's K-1 process

Hi All,

I haven't seen or barely have seen any filers that are STILL waiting for their NOA2 and their beneficiary is Australian?

Figured I'd start this thread to help us and keep ourselves up to date with our more specific information.. that is our australian fiance(e)

California SC is moving a bit fast, hopefully you'll get approve in no time! have you been preparing for your interview...?? which consulate sydney?

You have a consulate in melbourne?? (by the way I know it's down there that the bush fires are... hope all of you are doing good..) didn't know that... my fiance, well he needs to go to sydney for his interview... We have been waiting for about 105 days ... We are counting up until we get our petition approved... hopefully soon! Now we are preparing to find a medical doctor... but no idea where to start that search!

yep, there's one in melbourne. thanks, was near the bushfires at my folks on the weekend almost had to evacuate, pretty scary. i believe i read somewhere about the embassy specifying certain doctors, there were two in melbourne. not sure if you have to use certain ones or not...

Oh good, glad your OK- well yeah you have to use a certified U.S surgeon or medical doctor, so I am trying to find some for my fiance since he is a bit far out from the city, he lives in Mackay... I believe I heard the closest doc was in brisbane...

Hope those fires die out soon!

I was actually wondering, from those aussie's already have their NOA2 how long (i.e. how many days) did it take from your NOA2 to the interview and the issuance of the visa??

Anybody can let me know that please!?

Just so you know, for the K-1 interview, the fiance(e) must go to the sydney consulate for the interview. Melbourne does not do the K-1 visa!

You know of any doctors in the brisbane area?? or how early/ or before the medical exam must be done? I haven't really read up on this....

By the way congratulations on the baby!! I really hope it's FAST for you (the approved petition that is)!!!

oh man really? i thought i could do it in melbourne... that's not good... is this on their website anywhere? i don't have to go to sydney for my medical though?
