I submitted my AOS a while back but never recieved any RFE (not sure if they are different from the interview notice). Though on my Interview notice, they want (along with all the normal other items) a I-693 completed medical eximnation and vaccination suuplement (however, I never provided one with my AOS package). What was submitted with the AOS package was a DS-3025.

So would I now have to complete a I-693 medical checkup and have the vaccinations transcribed for the interview? What happens if I don't have it by the time my interview?

Hopefully, someone in my situation out there can shed some of thier experiences in this matter.

Did you submit an I-693 with your AoS package? If so, they may just really need you to bring an I-693a, which you should have submitted with the original package. You might want to ask them for clarification (InfoPass, perhaps).

Nope, didn't submit I-693 or I-693a. Guess I got approved for interview somehow without it. Though as part of the fiance visa process she did have a full medical exam along with the other form (DS-3025) for vaccinations. However, I'm a bit worried as the I-693 says in the instructions that she doesn't need a medical exam:

You are not required to have another medical

examination as long as your Form I-485,

Application to Register Permanent Residence or

Adjust Status, is filed within one year of your

overseas medical examination.

Though by the time we have her interview it would have been already one year (as she has the medial exam in January 2008). Did anyone ever get away with using a DS-3025 in the interview process instead of a I-693a (or revised I-693) as proof of vaccinations?

Lastly, from what I've been reading; if documents or evidence is missing at the interview, the interviewer usually just writes up a RFE on the spot (can anyone who didn't have all thier documents for an interview confirm?) and afterwards just continues with the interview but asks you to send that documetation in so they can make thier decision, right (heh)?

Oh well, still might just as well call around to get my I-693 filled out, etc. Hopefully, it can be done quickly and won't cost too much.

Moving FROM K-1 to AOS

Thank you, realized that this was the wrong section after I posted.

I am in the same situation you are in, you don’t have to re-do your I-693, but you will need to get more vaccination and for that you need to fill some parts in I-693, read the first two QA on the pinned topic “ http://www.visajourney.com/forums/FAQs: Forms I-693 and DS-3025

Here is the link

They didn’t tell us overseas nor when she entered here that we need to follow up with more vaccination, moreover the instruction for I-485 states that if you came here through K visa and your medical exam that was done overseas is less then a year AT THE TIME YOU SUBMIT YOUR I-485 PACKAGE (MEANS WHEN THEY RECEIVE IT VIA MAIL), you don’t have to take any medical exam, however I read in here that you have to do more vaccination and only a list of Drs can do it,

My wife’s interview is in 10 days, and I am worry about this issue, and when I tried to call all the Drs on the USCIS approved list, they told me you will take the whole think no vaccination only process, they will force you to take the medical as well, and the cost $300/-, and I even wish if it was for the money, no it takes up to 2 weeks, which I don’t have that kind of time, I want this whole think in a week so I can take it to the interview

you will have to submit a I-693 on your interview. it's actually a recent requirement and all the rules are pretty much confusing lately. but if you're asked to submit it, then do so. you only need to fill up a few parts of the I-693 if your medical exam is still valid. i say follow instructions. based on what i've read around here, failure to submit any requirements the uscis ask for could result to denial of your application, as their decision will be based on what you have submitted. better be safe than sorry.

by the way I-693 is available at the uscis website. there's also a list of civil surgeons there. good luck at the interview!

ROC mailed to USCIS -- June 10, 2011

ROC approved -- November 1, 2011

finally free of USCIS paperwork!
