So we went to pick up Dh's IR-1 visa and the birth date was totally wrong. The embassy officer was not happy at all and basically blamed us for the mistake (um, what?)...it was a very unpleasant experience and I feel he really dislikes us. He kept the passport and said he'd call us when it was corrected. Given the fact that I'm pretty sure he hates us I'm also pretty sure he's not going to be quick about fixing the problem.

If anyone else had this problem - how long did it take to get your corrected visa back? Do they have to do the whole name check again (since the birth date was wrong?) or is it just a matter of reprinting a corrected visa?

Each day of waiting is seriously like a month...*sigh*

ETA: I'm posting this here b/c all of you have obviously already gotten your visas and I figure there is a better chance that someone here may have gone through a similar experience than if I post anywhere else.

Oh, I don't think the mistake was done on purpose or anything crazy like that. But, I'm pretty positive that he can't stand me, lol. And yes, part of the reason he was ticked off was because it would mean more work for him.

But, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had to have a mistake corrected on their visa???

I can't believe we're the only ones...?
