Hey VJ's

On January 15th my fiancee received the letter from NVC confirming they are forwarding the K1 application to Montreal.

It lists my INS receipt number and MTL number

Based on other timelines studied, it seemed like I should have the Packet 3 already.

So today I sent an email to Montreal consulate... here was their reply

We do not have a file pending in Montreal under your name or case number. As soon as the file is received we will mail the packet.

Regards,

Operator 5

Any suggestion as to what i should do?

Call NVC? what;s the best number? Can I do from Canada?

or just wait?

Something seems weird to me.

Would love to get your advice.

Thanks

Do you know what date it left the NVC? I would call the NVC, they are very helpful and ask them when they sent it.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

What's the best number to do that? Is that the 202-663-1225 x 1 then 0?

NVC is (603) 334-0700 - just follow the prompts to speak with an operator.

So... officially we're in administrative processing - the dreaded blackhole of NVC.

I've done some searching on VJ and looks like AP leaves you uncertain of what is happening and really adds to the timeline. Weeks or even months.

Any others Canadians have experience with this?

There seems to be no answers at NVC or DOS... to what the cause or reason might be.

Very frustrating.
