Case Complete

my case was complete last june 5 2006 and called the NVC and the automated phone said please wait 8 weeks for further instruction.so is it really 8 weeks only? that i have to wait co'z ive seen some people from philippines that they waited 6 months to get an interview date.anyone?

Your case will be completed within that timeframe, actually it is generally completed within 2-3 unless there is a hold up with security checks. However as you are from the Philipines and were required to submit both parts I & II of the DS-230 to NVC you will have your interview scheduled via NVC. Presently it still appears that the wait time for the Philipines is still 5-6 months.

what about us... our case was complete June 7th.. says wait 8 weeks to hear further... we are to interview at montreal consulate.. think it will still be months??? having to keep pushing back our "family wedding" is killing me

I know its awful and I feel for all those with these long waits for interviews. If you call the NVC the second week (I think from memory) of the month you can find out if and when you have an interview scheduled. Check the 'Waiting for NVC and Interview' thread. You will also get a notice when the case is forwarded to the embassy.

The OP was at the beginning at one stage too and is entitled to ask how much longer it is going to be, especially with Manila. I also dont see where the OP said he wasnt happy that the case was complete. He's earing his stripes. Jeez
