US Government Bashing...why??

More and more lately I am reading posts stating how stupid the USCIS is or how stupid the US government is. :ranting: Is this really all necessary? Ok, I will be the first to admit, I hate going to the social security office, the DMV, dealing with the USCIS or any government agency for that matter. BUT, compared to the rampent corruption of some country's governments, is it really that bad here? Can you deal with a few mistakes or the bad attitude of the lady at the SS office? We live in a free country where, yes, you can speak your mind and say what you feel. But again, I ask , given the freedoms that we all have and everyone who has immigrated here now have....is it really necessary? If you make a mistake on your visa petition or get an RFE, if it's your fault, its YOUR fault. Be an adult and correct it. Of the millions of petitions and applications they deal with each year (and growing), are they really that bad? Embrace America and all it's freedoms and most of all , TAKE IT EASY! :dancing: Just my thoughts. What do the VJ members think??

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

You should see a DMV office in Australia.

You been too? really quick hey.

Thanks for bringing it up Joise boy.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

In the case of USCIS, there are compounding factors:

  • Reagan's 1986 scamnesty of 3 million illegals, and aftereffects on potential legal immigrants (I paid the price through much delay in Green Card processing, and others continue to do so)
  • Canada-US Free Trade Deal of late 1988, morphed in 1993 to NAFTA--the ramifications of which many USCIS (then USINS) and State Dept. officials (especially CO's) are not trained adequately to handle (as I found out in 1999, a full decade after CAFTA and six years into NAFTA; unfortunately, I doubt they have learned much to date)

The ones in Australia are awesome. Everyone who works there is white so it's all very efficient.

No "demographic" problems at all!

Interesting since one in four Australian citizens was born overseas.

Dude don't be upset that your folks made a bad call and move you to Joise. Better luck next life hey..

Hold your horses there AJ. There's plenty of crime in Australia - its just that the "vast majority" of it isn't carried out by *real* Australians.

The local govt there has the act down pat - when quizzed about crime, be sure to question the ethnicity of the perpetrators as if separating the aboriginals from everyone else makes the problem go away.
