I received my passport yesterday, kind of fast... horrayyyy!!!! but my naturalization certificate wasn't included in the mail. Do they mail it separately? I was hoping it didn't get lost. Huh!!! or else it's another $$$$ to get a replacement.

and Congratulations MikeWilson, only few days left and you will be a US citizen. :)

The naturalization certificate gets mailed separately. I got mine exactly a week after my passport. Congratulations! That completes the journey!

Hello everyone, It is my turn now to report a successful interview and same day oath yesterday!

Everything when every well and smoothly...

Though my interview was schedule for 8:45, I was in and out by 8:05 the whole thing took about 15 mins.

I was approved, and I did the afternoon oath.

He went through my application with the "yes" and "no", then he asked 6 questions, when I got them all right he stopped.

questions:

1-what is one promise you make when you become US citizen?

2-who is your governor?

3-where is the statue of the liberty?

4-First US president?

5- what are 2 US holidays?

6- Can't remember

He made me read: "what the sate has the most people?"

and write:" California has the most people"

Then, congratulated me and asked if i wanted same day oath, and gave me the result sheet.

I came back at 1PM for the oath ceremony.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their interview date

gyenigun, Yes I was ask to show some documents. If you bring the documents that apply to you in the interview letter, you should be fine.

My case was based on marriage, so I was asked to show proof of the union.

So I gave to the interviewer:bank statement with both our name, bank loan we got together, tax transcripts, health insurance, car insurance, etc

You interview is pretty late (1:25), i think the cut off is around noon. But, who knows, try to be there much earlier...because they come and call the names on the list you go before your schedule time. In my case for example, my schedule was at 8:45AM, I got there around 7:30. After all the security check I was in the waiting room at 7:45...at 7:50, the interviewer came out and called the first two names, they were not there... then he called my name, and he asked me if I want to do the interview now, I said yes...So I was in doing my interview almost 1 hour before my schedule time. I was all done and approved by 8:05.

So, go early and try....In the worse case, Atlanta will schedule your oath on the next business day.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my interview letter today, I went to my local office 3 times, they told me twice that my paperwork was in Kentucky and last week (Thursday) they told me that they mailed my letter that day. Now I just has to wait for August 11th!!!!!!....
