I hope I can take the Oath at the same day.

I don't think Tampa does same day oaths BigRay. I would think you'll be scheduled for the next Oath ceremony after your interview date at the Tampa Convention Center, which is on 6/11/2009.

Either way keep us up to date and let us know how the interview went. I did my biometrics at Bay Plaza Blvd in Tampa this morning, so I should see my interview letter arrive within the next few weeks.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! 3 months and 4 days is just incredibly fast!

I am looking forward to your detailed story, but I am hoping for same-day oath as well...

Now go and celebrate!

I got my biometrics taken at Bay Plaza Blvd too, it was pretty fast!!!! 6/11/09 is not bad too. Just can't wait. My interview is tomorrow, I'm the only one taking interview this week in VJ. Will post after I took the interview. Good Luck to everyone.

I took the interview yesterday, it was very smooth. Only thing that I had been forgot to bring was my Marriage Certificate. But I passed the test. My interview is 8:10am, got there on 7:50am. Was waiting outside of the building to 8:05am, another 10 min waiting inside the building on interview waiting area. Been called by one of the Officer. First she asked me to rise my right Hand. Then she handed me a paper and asked me to read. "What State got the most people?" then she handed me another and ask me to write " California has the most people" After that she took out a test already been printed out. I can't remember the 6 questions. But she was wrote out my answer. After that she was exactly following the N-400 form and asked me all the questions over and mark out. When she asked me "Are you married?" I said "YES" then she asked me for my Marriage Certificate. I said "I forgot to bring it" She told me she gonna let me know what to do after everything done at the end. At the end, She printed out 2 documents One is "Continuance" and told me to send a copy of my Marriage Certificat with this letter. Another one is "N-652, Naturalization Interview Results" saying that I passed the tests of English and US History and Government. and need to follow the instruction on the N-14, Also showing B which is "A decision cannot yet be made about your application." After all, She told me the way home. Once I get home, I make a copy and ran to post office and send them in by Express Mail. They should get it today before noon. Hope they can resume my application as soon as possible. I have a feeling they gonna take like a month to resume my case. God. So please bring everything just in case.

Whole interview took 15 min. From the time I get in and rise my hand to the officer told me the way out.

Sorry, for the delayed post. Everything went like a dream from the moment I mailed my N400 (only 5 days after I completed 3 years residency) .... it was kinda shock for me having lived thru AR/AP for a year when I applied for the Visa in 2005. I will have the detailed post up in a few moments.

I arrived 25 minutes late for my 8.30 AM appointment (traffic, took wrong direction, parking, having to walk etc.). I thought that I will be turned back with a rescheduled date and time. But the guard checked me in and told me to hang outside the waiting room till some officer comes to check the box where everyone was supposed to put their appointment letters. After a few minutes a woman came by to check the box and I talked to her. She asked me to put my letter in the box and go inside and wait. After 12 minutes, an officer came and called out my name. He asked me to follow him inside and I apologized for being late. He said that’s no problem and we talked a bit about the city as we walked to his office.

He ran through the form and confirmed that nothing changed since the application was submitted. Then he printed out the test and asked me the questions. I can’t remember all of them …. 1) What was our main concern during the cold war 2) who takes over in case the President is no longer able to serve 3) Why did the Pilgrim Fathers came to America. Then there was a question about voting rights. Then he asked me to read, “which state has the most people?” and write down, “California has the most people”. He then took the paper and said, “Congratulations, you have passed the test”. I immediately requested for taking the oath that afternoon and he said that can be done.

He then asked me sign the photos which I had submitted along with the application. I asked him whether I can replace those and if it’s OK to have photos with eyeglasses since the instructions said that the photos have to be without any non-religious headgear, eyeglasses and earrings. He said that’s fine we can have the photos with eyeglasses. So exchanged the photos, signed them and he gave me a letter to bring to the Oath ceremony at 1.30 PM. It all took 17 minutes.

Went back at 1.30 PM and took the Oath along with 26 other people from 13 countries. A journey which began 5 years back reached its logical conclusion :D .

Congrats Charuhans! Well done also to BigRay, at least the IO held the interview and all you need is a copy of your Marraige Certificate. I have heard of some cases where the IO would not hold the interview at all. Let us know when you hear back from USCIS. I am sure it won't be long.
