They say it takes 90 days to recieve your EAD card. When does this 90 days start? is it from the time USCIS recieve your documents (Receipt Date)? Or is it from the notification date, or the biometrics appointment date, or from the time you finish take your finger prints?

My Notification date was around the 11/28/08 and i took my biometrics on 12/17/08. If im counting from the ND then its been about 74 days and still i havent heard anything from CRIS or got anything in the mail. If its from the Biometrics date then its only 56 days.

So which date do i start counting from?

RD: 11/21/08

ND:11/28/08

Biometrics Notice date: 12/03/08

Biometrics taken: 12/17/08

EAD touched: 12/18/08

EAD approval: ??? =(

EAD card arrives: ???

You have to keep in mind that the 90 days is not a sure thing, it's just an estimate people make based on other people's timelines. It may take less or it may take longer but it's not for certain.

You generally count from the NOA date. According to VJ estimates they are currently processing ones received 11/22, but they have already approved some from Decmber, but then most recently September and early November. Just like the K-1 process (or whichever visa you came on) it is a hit and miss thing, there is no particular science to the order in which they process these things. Hang in there - you should be soon. Check out this site:
