Rich and Bey we have the same timeline.. Can you do the medical this early? Will it be acceptable to do so? I thought it had to be arranged through the embassies list of Drs after the packet 3 has arrived.

yes we are going to go through the list of doctors from the website. i was told from someone that took it. she told me i can go early. because they will send results in a sealed envelope that can not be opened. so we are sceduling it for next week.

I believe getting the medical early is, in part, Embassy specific. I have read that for some medicals the Doctor needs paperwork from the Embassy. I am not exactly sure which paperwork... maybe just the case number... I am trying to get that answer from our Embassy in Warsaw...

Liz, but its a NICE house!

A jits tourny? You better relax and lose the grumpiness. I'm very familiar with tournys and training. I've trained in several disciplines for many years. Emotions will ruin you... find that zen place and relax. I'm sure while you are training you forget all about the rest of life....

Its not the actual competition thats bothering me. Its the weight cut. Me and my coaches decided we are going to try and go with an even lower weight class than usual. I have a short reach and this is kind of a dry run for a thai boxing match later this year. I am trying to get to 185. Its brutal. I am just always freaking hungry.

I'm the guy that works his weight well.. I'm at 165 and could fight anywhere from 145 to 170 without problem. I havent competed in years though. I am done with all that. I train some but the comps are DONE! Good luck

I carry my weight pretty good. I am 6'3" though. I walk around normally at around 225. I have slimmed down to 210 already and still have about 7 weeks. I am only 31 and know that I can't compete like this for too much longer, but I don't want to have any regrets about it. That and they will soon allow amateur MMA in Florida is a big factor. I always said I wanted to try it out just one time.

Its a good experience... it will take its toll on your body. You are losing a lot of weight, be careful it can take away energy and strength. putting weight on is a lot different than taking it off... you must condition your body as you lose the weight or you will be lathargic, weak and slow. Becareful dude!

Oh well I have done it many times before. I wrestled in High school and I have competed many times. I just usually compete at 200 lbs though. Thats the reason I am taking so much longer to cut this weight.

I wish I could take a nap. Unfortunately I have to go to New Symrna Beach for a stupid meeting. Whichis like an hour and a half away. The worst part is they are going to make me come back to my office this afternoon. How ridiculous is that I'll be back for the most unproductive hour on a Friday no less.
