When I first sent my app in. My timeline said July 14 even though it said may 29 last week and now says June 10 it is still more than a month sooner than the original date. We all know that the system is flawed... all we can do is stay hopeful....

Yeah I go through that too... it is a yoyo life at this point. I just keep up a positive attitude and remember that it will all be a memory in the "not so distant" future!!!!

I am definitely in the good days/bad days mindset. I try and remain positive and I usually am especially after I rant it get the negativity out of my system. I find that its helpful to vent my frustrations.

Ranting always gets me worse before I get better though...

How do I do anything? *giggle* I don't have a clue, I am just a guy :)

Lee, it is hard to be 100% positive all the time, but I agree... it is the better way to approach all this. I try not to rant... although today, I think I might just blow off, go home, work around the yard some... get my sticks and hit the driving range... we'll see.

I am usually a much more calm person. I am preparing for a big jiu jitsu tournament and I am cutting weight right now. If you pair that up with the stress of this situation then you have the recipe for an extremely grumpy person.

For me the frustration comes in waves and just as quickly as they come they are gone. Its just one of those things. We all have our own coping methods and what works for me would not necassarily work for you. For example I have tried golf and its not for me. It is too slow paced a game for me, but some of my friends swear by it. Different strokes for different folks.

A jits tourny? You better relax and lose the grumpiness. I'm very familiar with tournys and training. I've trained in several disciplines for many years. Emotions will ruin you... find that zen place and relax. I'm sure while you are training you forget all about the rest of life....

My timeline has been pushed back also. It is hard to stay positive. I am in Brazil hoping to get approved. We are going next week to take the medical tests. my SO is scheduling an appointment today to do that next week. I cant believe that we were so close and it took so long.

Rich and Bey we have the same timeline.. Can you do the medical this early? Will it be acceptable to do so? I thought it had to be arranged through the embassies list of Drs after the packet 3 has arrived.
