When you apply for the SS # you can then apply for a drivers license too... then of course the marriage license.

The AOS is to be filed ASAP after marriage with the cost of $1010. The AOS needs to begin being filed before the 90 day period so when the k-1 expires the beneficiary is still legal inside of the states. The EAD cost is included in the AOS packet and needs to be refiled every year until you receive the final AOS paperwork but allows you to work until the AOS is finalized, which is a very important fact in my case.

The AP is a different set of papers and I think is another fee NOT included in the AOS packet.

I hope that made sense with my terrible lack of grammatical sense and sense in general ^_^

My understanding is that when you file the AOS, you can as an option, at NO COST file both the EAD and AP request. You can choose to file them later, but will then have to pay the fees for them (NOT cheap). So when you file your AOS, file for BOTH the EAD *and* AP.

When will the fees end? not until LONG after we are dead...death and taxes...

Derek congrats man. I am very happy for you.

I just got some good news myself. Oksana just decided that she is not going to go back to her city after the interview in Moscow. She will just stick around after her interview and than head to me after she gets her visa. I am so happy that I won't have to wait an additional manth after that.:dancing::dance:

wait an additional "manth"??? is that like a "manpretty month"?

Ok well that sounds good to me, then we won't have to pay that later and also we'll have the AP just in case something goes on at home.

At the moment he's very ready to get OUT of Greece after he's been dealing with the lovely military officials there for 6 months now. More than half over!

As for when the fees end... I don't think they ever will.. but at least once he's here we'll have each other and I'm certain it won't be as difficult as the "waiting/saving/fee" mode now.

01/23/2009 ----------Leave Athens and my Honey for the processes to begin

02/10/2009 ----------Beginning of Greek Military Obligations for 11 months

03/21/2009 ----------Stationed to Rhodes

07/16/2009-----------Meeting in Spain for 6 days!

08/27/2009-----------Stationed to Nevrokopi

01/10/2010-----------Gets OUT of the Army!

02/16/2010-----------Interview!

02/24/2010-----------Lampros arrives in WA!!!

He didn't just want me long, he wanted me a little longer than forever... :3

Good morning everyone. I hate looking for airline tickets. It is the biggest pain in the a$$. Especially since I am not sure how long she will have to stay in Moscow.

I know, Lee....what gets me is how the prices can vary as much as they do!!! Pat actually found one coming in on a Saturday that was cheaper than during the week!! That almost never happens!

Liz,

Customs (as a US citizen) is very friendly and efficient. Immigration was fine when Joanna came on her tourist visa. From what I have read on a POE basis for the K1 they are also very nice, although people have complained about the wait... over an hour and in some cases even more than 2, but I think that is the deal almost wherever the POE is.

Good Morning Sunshines...I left work early yesterday as I was delivering school supplies to some of our most needy families...and this morning I had to read 5 pages of pure hunky punky talk....why r u guys having fun when iam not here?

Morning Sweet Maire... and yes, hunky punky everywhere with SOs arrivals here and near! :)

Lee, if you want some help, give me the dates and times and I will have my corporate travel guy do some leg work for you!
