I am anxious! It's the worst part for me... all the patience has come crashing down.... I'm inpatient and antsy while at work.... come on thursday night!!!

Don't worry Derek you have to be one of the most patient people I have ever met. At this point the time left is nothing compared to the time spent waiting. It will be over with before you know it. In the meantime may I suggest perhaps you should knit a sweater. Since I am sure you don't know how it will be a very time consuming excercise to both learn and to create a sweater before tomorrow night.

Thats great Lee... when do you expect to schedule the flight? as soon as you get the visa?

That is my current dilemma. I am looking at flights now, but I am not sure if it would be wise to book it before she has her interview and visa. I am confident that she will have no problems, but you never know what could happen. I am definitely on th efence right now, but I was just given the news today and I was at work so we couldn't discuss the details. The one thing is we are going to break her trip into three seperate one way tickets. So I have to see what the ticket changing policies are.

3 separate one way tickets? I am confused... (which is pretty easy for me) could you elaborate?

Well I took the chance of purchasing the tickets prior to the interview. It worked out well. The savings was about $400 if I bought the ticket at least 2 weeks out. The interview was a breeze, as mentioned before, I believe it is just a formality and a way to get papers assembled for POE folks.

Elaboration one of my specialties. The first ticket is going to be from Novosibirsk to Moscow. The second flight will be from Moscow to New York. SHe is going to stay one or two days in New York with her mom. Finally a flight from New York to Orlando. I will have the added benefit of giving her some time with her mom which scores me some points as well. She will also be over quite a bit of her jet lag. Thus allowing for hunky punky to satrt sooner.

That is what I thought you meant, but wasn't sure. I book multicity trips frequently and generally speaking it is cheaper to book them as ONE trip then it is to book 3 separate legs... even though, in the end... they really are the same... 3 separate tickets... go figure :)

Brownie points and better hunky punky... 2 birds 1 stone :)
