I am very envious of Susan and need. I am so happy that you will be with your SO's so soon.

Need I am pretty sure that you can apply for a social security number about two weeks after she arrives. I think you have to have that so she can get her marriage license. It differs from state to state, but I'd look into that first. As for the adjustment of status you have to do that after you get married. You can also apply for work authorization and advance parole, which will allow her to leave the country. The best thing to do would be to go to the guides at the top of the VisaJourney page and there it has all the finite details.

Hey Lee...thanks alot for the info, your time will come soon just be patient and dont stress yourself out so much. I read the guide and it tells me that i have to file the I 485 which is basically just filing for a green card but i think i read something somewhere about a temporary residency and right afterward the permanent residency. I dunno, i'm confused ever since i read that somewhere... about the s.s needed for marriage...i would have to check what is needed here in Nyc...as far as i'm aware you just get the marriage license 24 hour or more before your wedding day and that's it. Anyone with experinces in ny here? lol

Anyways, again, thanks alot :)

I cant remember which, but it was either a SS# or Drivers license that you have to do it before the I-94 expired or you would have to wait for something else... maybe it was AOS.... I will see if I can find it.

Lil'One!!!!! where have you been? I have missed you!!!!!!

Susan, I have forgotten where you are going to call home?

Liz, Congrats on Pat's medical... one more thing DOWN!!

Richard, it's the social security that you have to do before the I94 expires but I was wondering when that's filled up, does the beneficiary have to state a return date? because i think the I-94 is filled the beneficiary when he/she arrives into the U.S no?

I believe the I-94 automatically gets a 90 day number... because we have that amount of time to marry or return. And yes it is the beneficiary's date.
