Thanks guys for the replies. Richard he just turned 17 yesterday. i tried to get him to do something with us but he is one of those kids that wont do anything at all.. i told him i will have a cake with him tonight and everything but he still doesn't respond. he has been sleeping over a friend's house ever since she got here. i understand he is upset but i talked to him and told him that no one is replacing his mother..

Lee thanks for the offer and yes would love to get together next time i am in orlando..

Thank you Richard, whats your status so far with your process?

Still awaiting our NOA2.... Joanna has her and the children's medical this friday... and I think we are done on the paperwork, process side..... pending the NOA2, NVC and interview...

did you try calling the national visa center, im sure they can give you more details.

Oh i spoke to one of those national security guys who stamp your passport, well the guy told me if im coming with my girl who has a k1 visa and im the citizen, we dont have to go through the VISA line in the airport, i just show my passport and we take the quick and smooth road...the visa line in jfk airport is HUGE... just letting you guys know that.

Rich... not to diminish what you are going through... but been there, done that! Still going through it with my daughter (15).... time, patience, understanding are pretty much all that is needed... sometimes... some independent outside party can be helpful... do you think he would go with you? My daughter resisted at first, but she eventually went and it helped a great deal.

BTW, I will trade my 15 YO daughter for you 17 YO son :)

Really? I would think that would be ok on a tourist visa, but on a K1? I thought was #######(p) they needed to do... take the envelope and warn you to get married in 90 days :)

Well i guess that'll happen, the guy even said " K1... i havent seen one of those in a while" lol... anyways, i guess that does happen it just that you dont go through the "tough" visa line agents, those guys act like hard asses... these who check the us citizen are easy going and nicer in my opinion and therefore she would just give her envelope, xray and passport to the guys, then the 90 days warning and thats it, and even faster because if i would've picked her up then she would've come with me in the U.S citizens line, which is faster and shorter...the visa line... WOW... really long = ( poor baby, i'm gonna have to give her a peace of mind about that too, that its long but she should not be scared of that. It's her first time traveling alone.

Need - Congrats!!! Glad things went smoothly for you!!

Rich - I hope things settle down and it all works out for you guys. I must say I agree with Richard and Lee that an outside person talking to your son might make it a bit easier transition.

Hugs, Liz

hi liz!!!!!! no he wont go with me.. he is always been a little strange...

*giggle* then the apple didnt fall far from the tree :)

Rich.... I have been separated and divorced for like 12 years... So my daughter was 3 at the time... and she still has these issues... they are better... but it is a work in progress... If it helps... I dated a woman a few years back for 4 years (before she passed away) and my daughter went from NOT liking her... to loving her over the first year... after she died... My daughter was a wreck and frankly still is... but the point is... it is a process... and it does get better...

The good news.... and this is a little simplistic on my part... but I have always thought of kids (even 17 yo) to be made from rubber... and they tend to bounce back pretty quickly.

With a little work and love... it should be ok... I think more about Bey and all the changes she has going on... I hope she doesnt take it personally...

I think you'll evetually be fine Rich. Like everyone said it's a work in progress and it takes time. If not you can always try bribing him with ice cream.

Hi Rich!!! Well, like everyone has said, he will make it through. Everyone told me the same thing about my daughter and how she was during the seperation and divorce...it was pure agony to see her like she was, but when you look at her now and how she is with everything you'd never know there was a problem!

Hugs, Liz

Lee was slumming in March!!!! :P

I was looking to see how the approvals were going. I am hoping that they get yours soon. That and I am so freaking bored today. I have done next to nothing at work today. It's almost depressing.
