I can only gander a guess... and that would be to make sure that the homeland stays safe from the standard things we get vaccinated for here. That said... it has warped from that since they now require things that WE do not REQUIRE here... like HPV. Also, screening for aides and TB, I believe is a driver as well.

Yet... according to the paperwork I have from Warsaw... they can not REQUIRE the vaccines, only recommend them.... yet for AOS I understand they are required... go figure? :)

Does anybody know how do they look at co-sponsors in general? Does it lesses our chances of getting a visa?

Thanks.

Igor, to the best of my knowledge and it does vary from country to county... the co-sponsor is just a financial thing and no it does not hurt your chances of getting the K1.

Ok...I agree with you on the whole require/don't require thing. Pat has to get two shots when he goes because he doesn't have a copy of his shot records anymore. hehe..poor guy...I told him it's better to have them now then when we do AOS...lol!

Igor - I've never heard of having a co-sponsor lessening your chances. They just want to be sure that your SO doesn't come to rely on the state to survive and if you have a co-sponsor that just shows you have someone to help if needed.

Hugs, Liz

Thanks. I am graduating college in a week and getting a job right away would not be easy I would think. I do have income now, but I think it will be barely cutting the line (125%).

Don't forget you can also use assets to help qualify as well. But in the event of a cosponsor... I wouldn't worry too much about having one.
