Hey guys how are you! i been busy moving and getting things ready. My interview is next week and i'm going there with her! but for now im really stressed with the move. BTW...do i have to fill out a DS - 230 for the interview, whats the intent for this and it has to be filled out by her correct? Thank you all and congrats for the approvals and everyone who has been waiting! :) we're all making it happen!

Unfortunately, the answer is maybe - some embassies require the DS-230, some do NOT. In the Philippines they do NOT. Check with the embassy or on the embassy website.

good iggy.. where is everyone today?

Continuing what we haven't finished yesterday

I'm drinking sangria, I don't know about anyone else. Hot as hell here today! Does anyone have any idea what sort of stuff I need to have ready for a congressional appeal? Will just my list of complaints suffice?

I would really really like to believe that I'm going to get mine anytime now. I just want to be prepared because this whole process has just reinforced my belief that anything the government does is generally done by incompetant and lazy people. At least it's managed, overseen and organized by such. So I don't have much confidence. I've been believing that it's highly likely my file will be processed anytime now since June when the other February approvals started to roll in.

It's also a bit much to see that someone with a NOA1 date of 3/15 just got approved at VSC. So it looks like they're grabbing boxes from March already and whoknowswhere my file actually is.

Sorry to be a downer. It's just that I'm spending every available moment talking to my SO trying to get through this waiting and it's very very difficult.

I know... and I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave... but, alas, I do not... but there are others with similar dates that just got their approval. Your file is in that box that this person is working on... and someone else is working a box from March... thats all...

Lupy I know it's hard, but your approval is on its way. If you do have to get a congressional appeal, you'll have to go to your congressman's website and get the form there. They are pretty standard and it asks what type of assistance you are expecting. Just tell them that they are taking a ridiculous amount of time out of both of your lives. Tell them whatever you think and feel will motivate them to want to help you. I'd also recommend doing both senators as well. Just get them ready, because next week is going to be a good week for you my friend.
