Well, barring some people updating their timelines and adding NOA2's for the past week, I can tell you from walking back over the past year that NO time during the past *year* has there been so many days without a NOA2. Not Christmas week, July 4, memorial day, labor day, new years. The longest I saw (I looked) was i think 4 days without. This is driving me absolutely nuts!

I am just hoping that it means there will be a flood of approvals coming because they are all getting stacked up for mailing out!

Occupying my mind is something I have been trying to do for months. It is an excercise in futility at the moment. The only good thing is my work day is almost over and I am going straight to jiu jitsu. Trying not to get beat up does wonders for keeping me distracted.

You know, I was just looking on Igor's List and noticed that there are only 89 VJ Applicants for the month of february. There are probably several hundred or more over all and all the other dates not addressed yet. There are 3 weeks left in the month and with 89 applicants I will bet that we get a good hit before the end of the month. Check back next week and you'll see!

I can only hope that you are right. It is hard to be optimistic when it seems like an uphill battle all of the time. Even though I have been very bitter this week I know that once I see a new approval my excitement and positivity will be refreshed.

I think you guys should try to think of this lag time as just the dating time before you filed a petition. I know that there are a few couples that took a little while to decide on this next step in their relationship. Did you all go beserk during the dating phase...saying "What's taking so long for us to file papers with USCIS?"...probably not...so just try to put the filing in the back of your mind for a little while.

I know this is hard...I know the wait is driving you insane. I feel all the emotions that you are feeling of not knowing. I'm sure that each of you will eventually hear something...whether yea or nay. I can only say this because I have done this process before...so I know the feeling all too well. The USCIS site and Igor's list can actually be a deteriment when we start relying too heavily on it as a real indicator of what to expect from a crazy process.

*Ducking rotten tomatoes and bottles*

Ok Okay....sorry...carry on. :blush::blink:

So it seems like they keep accepting H-1B apps. until they reach a cap, but I wonder how long that is and when "H-1B season" ends....
