And only three weeks after we got the notice from the NVC that they'd received the approved petition already. As they say, USCIS works in mysterious ways. On to Montreal!

WAIT... you mean that you got a notice from the NVC 3 weeks before the USCIS?

I think that means that they got the NVC letter that the case was going to be forwarded to the embassy and then they receive the NOA2....you see iam not that stooooopid lol

That is correct; we got our NVC receive letter in early July, even though USCIS case status still didn't say it was approved. Still waiting on the NVC sent letter. Thanks guys :)

Edit: It should be noted that the Timeline app here doesn't accept "out of order" dates like mine (NVC receive before NOA2), even though they are the right dates. Should this be fixed?

That is correct; we got our NVC receive letter in early July, even though USCIS case status still didn't say it was approved. Still waiting on the NVC sent letter. Thanks guys :)

Edit: It should be noted that the Timeline app here doesn't accept "out of order" dates like mine (NVC receive before NOA2), even though they are the right dates. Should this be fixed?

That is strange, but it's probably more of an anomaly than anything. Besides that at least you are over the longest part.
