Morning all....I think Richard's grumpy mood from yesterday came to Texas... Or it could be from that heifer at the Post Office last night that ticked me off!:angry:

Anyway, have a great day all!

Liz I posted the modem I used last night... sorry it might be about 12390423094238 pages back since this group is so chatty :) Also... do you want a wireless router or a cell modem? I was confused after reading some other posts.

Ummm..yeah....I'm not exactly sure what I need. I want it for my PC at home so that I don't have to have a landline to use the internet there. So, what would I need?

A cable modem, a satellite modem, a cellular modem or a Wi-Max modem... along with an internet provider for one of those services. E.G. Verizon and a cell modem like the one I posted... that said... again look into the amount of data you can download... also.. speed is an issue on cell modems... they are much faster than dial-up but still not like DSL or Cable. Also, it is difficult to have a network set up using cellular... but it can be done.

 Sheesh...that's too much for my poor brain this early...lol! My best friend lives out in the sticks like I do and she has one, I will have to see which of the one's you listed that she has. Thanks for the info!!!

Hugs, Liz

Looks like my two touches last week were because I changed my address. Apparently there is at least one person as USCIS that actually does their job quickly.. which is why I disbelieved it.

Back to waiting... and as much as igor's list is useless, it sucks to see it posting my timeline that stretches past 6 months now. I feel very bad for the March VSC people who will likely have to wait a long time too. Looks like our hopes of having a late summer wedding are sort of dashed at this point.

Well, for what ever it is worth.... I just wrote my Congressman a 4 page letter with charts and tables using data here on VJ complaining about this process, the lack of information, the delays, the pressure it puts on us, etc. I am more than certain it will fall on deaf ears and I am even more sure that when I read their response it will make me want to vomit... But I just couldn't sit silently anymore while we all feel the pain.

Richard if you ever get the chance I wouldn't mind seeing your charts and graphs. I am curious and not only that maybe when I begin harrassing my congressman and seantors I can give that to them as well.

Lee, it was similar to the data here...

I wrote because I just received a letter from the USCIS saying they are working on November now... Which as the website says is the 'official' date so I gave the congressman's immigration aid an education in real world vs. 'official' world. Also pointing out that the CSC is sooooooooooooo far ahead of the VSC. Like I said, it won't do any good... but as p!ssy as I am... I figured it was a good time to point that emotion to good work :)

Maire... I used you as a case study in my letter :P

Here is the letter from the USCIS I received and I quote!

"A review of the computer system shows that the fiancee petition was received on 3/20/09 and this office is currently processing these case types received on 11/25/08."

[END QUOTE]

absolutely worthless!
