Giood Question Richard one that i don't know the answer to because i am not a woman. But here is my question for everyone.. WHy in the morning do we say the alarm clock went off when clearly the alarm went on? Chew on that for a while!!!!

Oh are we discussing wierd things that don't make sense? If so I have one.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? What in the hell is a woodchuck? Why do I care if he could or couldn't chuck wood? What does it mean to "chuck" wood. Is it like grinding it or eating it or just chopping down a tree? This has always bothered me and I can never get an answer.

1) A common burrowing rodent (Marmota monax) of northern and eastern North America, having a short-legged, heavy-set body and grizzled brownish fur. Also called groundhog; also called regionally whistle pig.

2) You probably shouldn't care

3) To throw or toss

So, now you at least have peace of mind knowing your answers :P

Good one RIchard.. Here is one: WHy do we say the proof is in the Pudding? WHo started this? Someone that put there hands in the pudding to find something..

this is really a very good question... and it comes under the "You are what you eat" heading for me...

as over time the expression has been modified and people have forgotten the original...

the original expression was "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" people have bastardized it :)

Wow Richard thank you. I don't believe we have those in Central Florida. What a stupid animal and thankfully for me I don't care how much wood one could chuck if it could chuck wood. Although I am a bit alarmed at how quickly you had the answer especially the scientific name. Has this bothered you as well at some point?

Richard you are a wealth of information today!

No... but when I was younger I was a brewer and Judge of beer... and my best friend's brewery was called the "Whistle Pig" and I didnt know what it was.

But I do like etymology... and wonder about things... well... more when I was younger...

E.G.

Threshold on your doorway... was invented to keep thrush in the house on the floor years ago when they used it.

You are what you eat has been bastardized from... and I will probably miss quote it... but.. "Show me what you and and I can tell you what you are"

Raining cats and dogs was my favorite expression

Richard I tried to tell people that I too was a judge of beer, but they just said I was a drunk. Apparently judge/drunk is an extremely fine line.

I had the same problem... so I took the test and got my master's judge license :) Now I can prove I am a drunk... errr I mean a Judge

So it's possible to be a master judge? The only thing I am currently a master of is bating, but that could change quickly if I were to be a judge. Of drinking not bating.

Hey guys good morning. :D i hope we hear more approvals for the people that remain waiting for the NOA2.

Well, I have a question for everyone, specially Roman.:

When can i start getting all my financials done? the interview is Aug. 6 so like if i start getting the bank statement and get it notarized lets say...this week, will that matter if its lets say...2 weeks old when i present it in the interview or they have to be VERY recent? what you think or what you heard regarding this?

I ask you because i want to get my bank account detail for checking and savings this Saturday and have it notarized as well but i'm wondering if i should do it this week or a week before? It would be great if i could have it all done this week so i can concentrate on other stuff.

Anyone has any info regarding this?

Two weeks is fine. I gave them pay stubs from May and the interview was July 14. So you should be ok.

Congrats Susan. Now you just have to hope they will move your interview date up.

Thank you Lee. I haven't received packet 3 yet from the embassy, they said they posted it out yesterday so I should get it any day this week. I went to the Garda Station (police) to get my police cert stamped to send off and a very nice Ban Garda (policewoman) informed me that I do not have to snd it off to where I was originally informed, and that it was done local and I should have it back by the end of the week. So once I get my results, police cert back and fill out the forms in packet 3 I am good to go.

Nothing back there really that needs to be caught up on...

You can even be a "Grand Master Judge" now :)

Susan.. I am not sure I exactly understand... but if I do... I might caution you... In Poland it is possible to get a police report at the local station, however, the Embassy in Warsaw says they will not except this one... I am not sure why since it is my understanding that the local station gets it from the Main station in Warsaw... but just a heads up and to give you something to worry about :)
