I think I should shut-up as I have helped take us waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic!

I will try to be good...

I agree :ot:

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

ps. Imagine our "SO" reading this thread lmao

Hmmm yes....definitely off topic.

So Maire....17 days huh? Are you going to Cuba or is he coming to visit you? I'm thinking of taking a trip to Tampa near the end of the month myself. We're just waiting to see when he has to go away on a business trip first and plan around that.

Well you might or might not know...but Cubans are not allowed to leave the country...so I am going to visit him...Iam so excited to see him and my family of course....

Yeah...apparently I did not know that! lol I had read about some 'exit visa' thing and giving the house to the gov't or something but...they can't even leave on vacation?? :wow: :wow:

Maire and mermaid you are both so lucky. I have to wait for the K-1 to come through to see my SO. I am envious of both of you.

Yeah that does suck but I wasn't too impressed when my SO had to leave after living with me here for 3 years and I didn't get to see him for 6 months. We all unfortunately have had our crosses to bear. You just got to remember that all this will be over eventually. Blah...I can only be so 'upbeat' and 'cheerful' for so long and then even I start gagging on it.

It BLOWS...the wait BLOWS the distance BLOWS and we all %#^$&^%* HATE IT!!!

Well I feel better......try that instead.

Hopefully the time will pass quickly for you.

48 days until my SO gets here... Lee, how can you stand it?

This is going to sound so stupid. My house is immaculately clean. I am currently doing a lot of work on my lawn. Which in Florida just sucks and is ridiculously hot. That takes care of my weekends which for me is the worst part. During the week I talk with all of you which is really theraputic. My job is one that is based on the hurry up and wait philosophy. After work I do jiu-jits 4 or 5 days a week and that just wipes me out physically. That is how I pass my time and keep myself occupied. I do all of that and it only distracts me some of the time. So in conclusion to answer your question I can't stand it and everyday is a little bit harder than the day before. I then spend my entire day in the back of my head convincing myself that this is not the case and that the struggle makes the reward all the more sweet.

That doesn't sound stupid at all... in fact, i can relate to much of it myself... Can you go back to Russia for a visit? I just got back from Poland a few weeks ago and got me SO a tourist visa while I was there... so this time she can come see me!

Nah...not stupid at all.

I feel like I'm just "putting in time" until my family can be reunited again. My SO is doing the same...he's in Florida, also doing a lot of lawn work lately. He'll probably spend tonight hand watering the lawn as per the water ban rules....he's allowed to water on Tuesdays. I also have the cleanest house imaginable and I also have the kids to keep me busy. Its outa my hands now.....can't do anything but wait and keep ourselves busy.

I barely like cleaning my own house. It just occupies my time. I am sure that when Oksana gets here we will negotiate the chores. Its a good thing she will arrive in the dead of summer so that the yardwork will seem all the more impressive and I won't have to do too much of the cleaning indoors.

Lee - It doesn't sound stupid at all. Thankfully I have my 6yr old daughter to keep me occupied most of the time. When she's having her weekend with her Dad it's a bit harder but I just go out and help my parents with the yardwork or work on one of my projects. Currently I'm redoing a dresser that will go in my daughters room when we get our new house....it's coming out sooooooooooooo cute!!!

Hugs, Liz

Liz- Thats cool with the dresser. I am not quite that handy. Plus like most men I am fairly simple. Most of my furniture comes from Ikea and I wouldn't waste my time tryimg to refinish any of it.

hehe..I get it from my dad...his hobby is woodworking. He's done a lot of the repairs to the wood parts of it and I've done the painting and decorating...have one more drawer to add flowers too and I'm done!

Hugs, Liz

Liz- thats a lot more than I got from my dad.

Today is just a crappy day. I can't believe after the way VSC closed out April that they are off to such a slow start for May. The only reddeming thing about today is at least its a holiday sort of. At least an excuse to drink during the week.
