We have a hard time when I get on a roll with my jokes. She quite often doesn't think I am funny at all. It has been pretty hard convincing her that I am in fact by american standards capable of being funny. So far it has been an uphill battle.

To me it usually ends up being funny. But you know how a joke isn't funny if you have to explain why it's funny. I think it is just something I have learned to accept that my wife will never think I am as funny as my friends think I am. We still joke around so it isn't that big of a hurdle. I know exactly what you mean with Marina though.

Hey guys how you been! how was your weekend. Mine was pretty tranquil until Saturday night when i went bar hopping in Manhattan and had some drinks with a friend from high school whom i haven't seem in a while, he's mad cool and we were talking about the fun times back then and having some beers. The lower east side is pretty fun place to hang out.

By the way, my girl's medical is this Friday and she'll get the results returned on the 4th of august...

I already bought her luggage and hand luggage for her trip, neat for a girl lol.

With me and Marina it doesn't happen that often (very rarely). Both of us are from the same city originally, so our humor and culture is the same. But sometimes my American comes out and she doesn't get it.

i cant watch Chapelle with my girl...at least not yet, i tried to explain but she doesn't get it... = ( its sad when i laugh and she doesn't... will just have to wait until she becomes more fluent in the language.

I dont have that problem either....Iam 100% Cuban...although sometimes when I talk to him I find myself using a lot of Spanglish and English words like..."so"?...."oh my God"... "wow"...."baby" lol it just sucks that I enjoy love making in ENGLISH lol..cus in SPanish it sounds too dirty...what about for you guys?

i go for the dirty spanish but i can also be dirty in english so it aint a problem with me with either, i can be passionate with both. Gotta love being Latin in that side too

uhhh...its not like she was the only woman in my life... duh... before i met her girls used to like me...until i just said i had a girlfriend and eventually engaged lol... so basically before i met her it was english and spanish, and when i started being with her it was just strictly Spanish there but she knows some dirty talking in English too, she asks and i joke with her and i tell her what it means lol

She doesn't speak English that well. So I stick to Russian.
