Hey guys! alot has happened since last time i posted here. First of all... HER INTERVIEW IS AUG. 6!!!! so i will attend the interview and be with her, plus i havent seen her since april and i miss her, so im taking advantage of this to also see her until its all approved and shes here. Second, im moving out! = ) found a great apartment and hopefully by the end of aug. i'll be moving.

Ok...just so you all know what i did... I just called the NVC and they didnt fix a discrepancy i had with my birth certificate which was already fixed but i guess they "didnt get the memo" lol anyways, i emailed them what they asked so they can update my info. Then i called the embassy in Lima and i spoke to a nice lady who just asked me for my case number in lima, which i had because i received a letter from nvc containing that, so she told me the interview date and time and that this week she should be getting packet 3 i believe, so once i heard that, this weekend i went to look for a new apartment and also airline tickets....i found all yesterday...i'm crossing my fingers for the apartment, i got lucky with the tickets and i got permission from work so everything is good as we speak... = ) how's everyone doing!

Liz, my parents live in Texas and they've been saying the same thing. DC has been usually cool, and I feel bad telling them so!

Lee, I feel ya. I just called NVC and the lady said our application was undergoing "additional processing" and "we have no timeframe for that." It's the first time they've actually said additional processing versus under review. Everyone says the process flies after NOA2, but that seems a bit hollow to me right now.

I am not going to lie. It does suck, but there is nothing we can do about it. I did a ton of reading on the NVC forum and the consensus was that for K-1's the AP time is very short and really turns it around in about two weeks. My feelings are that we have already been through the worst of it by having to wait for VSC that a few more weeks is childs play. I look at it as a way of making me a better and stronger person, because of this process. I have developed a patience that I have never had in my entire life. So much so that my friends have commented on it repeatedly when something bad happens and I am the voice of reason whcih one year ago woulds not have been the case.

good morning everyone,

Liz, good job on the house, it looks good. we bought a house last year, March '08, and we are just at the end of decorating now, wooden floors going down etc. we started out just like you guys. I know how you feel, I had pains everywhere when we were doing demolition. It will be so worth it in the end.

Lee, How did your fight weekend go? did you win some $$$ :)

Richard , how was your carribean BBQ? sounds yummy!!

Maire, i hope you situation resolves the way you want it to :)

Roman, best wishes for your SO's interview tomorrow, i hope it is plain sailing for her.

Now - K-1 Discussion (Is that allowed, have both conversation at the same time)

I called NVC today, our file arrived last Friday. I got a new case number. When I was talking to the (very nice) lady, she informed me that everything looks good with the application, it should be sent out in a few days. Does that mean we won't be sent into AP? or would she know that by looking at the screen.

LOL....glad to know someone else knows how I feel..hehe! Any redecorating tips for me??

we were lucky in the sense that myself and jeremy have the same taste. when I was in the States over the last year we bought stuff for the house like tiles for the floors and bathrooms, wooden floors, we picked color schemes for the rooms, so when I came back to Ireland, jermey did alot of the work in the house to keep himself busy. We also picked out our furniture and we have been lucky enough that the store has stored it for us until we are ready to put it in the house, which will hopefully be next month. We haven't paid for it yet, we can pay when they deliver it, that has been a god send, because we would have been out of some $$$ if we had to pay for it all last year.

My one piece of advice;we found out early on that it was a good idea to purchase the "heavy duty tools", and even though they may seem expensive at first, most of the time, they will be your best friend while redecorating. jeremy found alot of jobs much easier and quicker when he had the "good" tools.

well we bought a house adn literally demolished everything but the 4 external walls, we changed the shape and layout of some rooms, we put an extension on the kitchen, new siding, new roof, put walk in closets in all the berooms. we put in all new bathrooms, brand new kitchen, new doors new windows, i could keep going, there was nothing left from the old house. it was alot of work, we just talked out it the whole time, if one had idea, we listened and if it was good we went with it, if not then we scraped it. dnt get me wrong, we had plenty of arguments over

some suggestions, but we made it in the end. it is nearly done.
