Congratulations to jeremy and susan. and to everyone that received their approvals.

thanks Rich and Bey, much appreciated.

just inquiring guys, any advice appreciated. what happens now? does NVC automatically send petition to Dublin, Ireland, or do we have to contact NVC about anything. Jeremy is sending me the whole file and i am aware of the forms have to fill out, i also have a copy of my vaccinations i have received since birth & a letter from my doctor stating medication i am on and have to remain on for the rest of my days(nothing serious, just underactive thyroid). I have also contacted local police about my police cert but i cannot get that until i have a letter from the embassy to send off with it. obviously, i will make an appointment for my medical, but i cannot do that until i get package 3 from the embassy also. It appears alot of it is on hold until i hear from embassy, is there anything i am leaving out or that i need to do aswell as the above.

thanks :star:

Morning everyone!

Susan - It sounds like you have a good handle on what needs to be done. You're mostly waiting on Packet 3 now which I don't think will take very long getting to you. I know my Patrick had his within about 4 days after the Consulate received the stuff from NVC.

Hugs, Liz

thanks Liz, I am at the stage now where i don't think i have done enough. I suppose it is just being nervous or anxious. I had no idea how true it was when you all said it moves very quickly once it gets out USCIS. I contacted the US embassy this morning and they have said it should take 1 month from the time they receive packet 3 until I have my interview......thats is quick considering how long it took to come out of Vermont :star:

yes, we seem to second guess ourselves alot going through this process. I tried to make use of the time when it was in USCIS, I gathered alot of my info then, it took a while to get all my vaccine records. The garda(policeman) knows who I am and what I am looking for in relation to the police report, so he just said call back when you get the letter. Other than that, like you said im just waiting on packet 3

Yep...exactly it. The waiting isn't bad enough so we second guess ourselves too..hehe! I just wish this whole process weren't so darn hard (as in taking so long/so expensive). I had everything pretty much ready to send to Patrick for the Aff. of Support months ago. I waited though so that I could send current paystubs and such.

Susan, I was able to download the letter from the Embassy in Warsaw for my SO in advance of packet 3. You might be able to do the same and save a week or so in time.

Good morning Liz, Susan and Maire.

I do feel like I should be doing more for preparation of the interview, but I had taken care of everything while waiting on VSC. It feels weird to know that it is completely out of my control and other than offer support to my SO theres nothing I can do to help her. It is not the most comfortable experience for me. I am sure she will do fine and her interview will be a simple formality, but I hate not having any control in a matter that dictates the rest of my life.
