Maire I am happy your situation has resolved itself for you. You are a good person and you even tried to help your ex out of her jam. It didn't work out, but now you know that there is nothing you can do to help her. You can move forward with your life and try and be happy.

 Well said! I agree! And nothing in my mailbox today- I rushed home to check. :crying: Did anyone find a happy surprise in their mailbox when they got home???

Not today. I think we are doing basically the same things each day-- checking uscis' website, my inbox, calling nvc (in case somehow my case got there before my noa2 got to me) and rushing home everyday to see if I've gotten it in my mail. I just hope hope HOPE that it comes soon. :crying:

Yes indeed. I've only been calling NVC about once a week.. Maybe I will call them again today. They always seem so annoyed when they ask me when I got my approval from USCIS and I tell them I haven't gotten it yet.....

To me, it seems like it would make sense to start ringing their number after you "estimated time frame of approval" is at its end and has already ended. I am hoping for a juicy batch to come out of VT this week. I will bug the hell out of them if I don't get my NOA2 since I am next door in MA.

It is possible to be in love with two people at once. You, however, have chosen the one person to be in love with, and you have chosen to marry that person. It is unfair and not right to include another. You must let her go and not look back. My 2 cents is... let her go and don't look back. You will get over her soon, you can't do this to your fiance. Don't make it harder for yourself to keep her in your life...not even as a friend. You must cut her off totally Maire. I think you know this too! You have a lot of character Maire and I know you will succeed during this choice!

I think this is great advice, as hard it is might be- CUT HER OFF!! SHE IS POISON to your relationship....

I know...if after soo many years me and her did not work out...because of her drugs, partying, drama, friends, lack of financial stability..why would it work now?but there is something..when is her and me alone in a room...the world could end outside and I would not notice....but on the other hand..i cant legally have a life with her and kids and be totally accepted in society and my family will never be happy..So i really dont know if she is the one iam in love with and decided to marry him for my family and society since he is the first man in my life..and the only one I have ever liked in 24 years..its complicated guys...but I thank u sooo much for letting me vent..

There is a powerful attraction to the flame for the moth...But if you fly into the flame, you will just end up in a puff of smoke and pile of ashes.... I think after so many years, you know the deal with her. You really have two choice, repeat history or learn from it, which will require you to make a choice that may not be easy to either make or follow through on, but it is one you have to make.

I am more worried about you and your SO. Are you sabotaging your relationship? Realize that whatever is happening, it is NOT good for your relationship and is hurting him (even if he does not know it).

I hope you can figure out your heart and mind...
