Nora I don't know if waiting at the embassy would do anything at all. If they haven't received anything from NVC it would be an absolute waste of time to go there and wait. They would have no record of your fiance without it. If they have it I really don't know if it would do any good, but stranger things have happened.

Yes, I agree that it would be useless unless they have already recieved info, but I still have a month for them to do so....and once they do, I will start e-mailing and calling them and asking them... I know this is crazy but I just feel like if there is even the smallest chance I have to attempt it...

Guys I have a question to ask....ok here it goes

has it happened to any of you during this process that you have gotten tempted to do something that might hurt the relationship..for example...going to dinner with an ex..or gotten into a frisky situation, or something like that...

Ok i dated this person like 1 1/2 years ago...all of the sudden she calls me yesterday at work because she wants to see what am i up to. I was curious to see her and I said yes. We went to dinner and started drinking wine..She got soo drunk that she couldnt even walk..So i grabbed her phone and called her current gf to ask for their address so I could drop her off because she couldnt drive...when her current gf realized the one calling was her ex gf said she would not give me their address and to let her sleep on the street...I felt bad and rented a hotel for the night..i was gonna let her sleep alone..but decided to stay with her cus I was afraid something was going to happen to her...she was like unconcious...so this morning she woke up and when she went back home..the gf kicked her out of the house and she has nowhere to go. She has no money and nowhere to go and I feel guilty cus because of me that happened...even tho we didnt do anything I put myself in that situation and now I have this drama and I feel like i should even pay for another hotel night so she can have a place to crash...this is nuts...

It is kind of you to help someone in need. Just keep your "walls up" and make sure she knows there is absolutely NO way you guys will be together and don't let her get too close. That's my 2 cents.

Another thing you may want to check is if the Embassy only does K-1 interviews on certain days. That may increase your chances. It will still be difficult, because I am pretty sure even if you are with your fiance might not be allowed in the embassy without his invitation. You will have no problem getting in since you're a U.S. citizen, but your fiance might have to wait outside while you see what can be done.

No worries Maire... The problem is hers. She contacted you for dinner and she got too drunk to walk.. you acted like a responsible adult. However, I would refrain from seeing ex's in the future!

You didn't do anything, so like Derek said no worries. She contracted you, so she is responsible for this mess.

i know if any of us men went out with an ex bf or gf. In my case an ex gf, i know every woman would be pissed off. So you need to ask yourself if you are doing all this stuff because you want something to happen with her. Otherwise you would have stayed away from that situation from the beginning.

I have to admit I'd be pretty pissed off if Oksana was hanging out with her ex-bf. If she told me about it I'd care less, but if she was hanging out with him for a while and then said something about it I'd handle it pretty badly.

He knows that I were gay all my life and he has been the only man in my life..but he doesnt know about this..this just happened last night...I didnt want anything to happen with her..but I gotta admit that I was curious to see her...and yes she did tell me she wants me back...and I told her that now my life is different and that I am in love with my SO...I am even thinking that she had all this planned out..cus she knows that I cant see people struggle and would help her find a place and stuff...she even called me today to see if I can go with her to see an apartment because she is scared to go alone...and i feel like everything is starting like dating or something...dunno if u guys know what I mean....but I dont know how to get out of this and I feel already guilty as it is that I voluntarily put myself in that situation...
