Liz thats actually a very tempting idea. I have made arrangements to go with a girlfriend of mine, who shockingly loves to shop. I know what you're all thinking where did I ever find such a rare woman to help me.

As for the interview for Oksana she is already getting nervous. I am trying to handle all of her travel and lodging. She hasn't been to Moscow since she was a small girl. Luckily the people over on the Russian forum have been very helpful. She can do the interview in either language, but she is just nervous, because thats what happens to people that don't know you are deciding your future. I just tell her to relax it'll be fine.

Marina is not nervous at all (at least not yet). The way we both look at it, the only reason to worry is if we had something to hide or if we were lying. But that is not the case, so I do not see any reason to worry.

I feel the same way Roman, but Oksana is nervous. She has heard horror stories about the interviewers. I tell her that the stories she has heard are probably exaggerated and it is a much friendlier process than in the past. I still have a few months to try and talk her off of the ledge.

I also heard stories. But those stories are from about 4 or 5 ago. Back than there was a lot of "fraud", fake marriages. So interviewers were really tough back than, right now it's much more easier. Plus now people are much better with documentation and proof of relationship (not like before).

Roman you are preaching to the choir. If I could get a woman any woman to believe that they are wrong and I am right on the first try I'd be the greatest man on the face of the planet. My plan is to just keep pointing out that back then things were different and we have everything that they ask for plus we are in love. It will take time, but eventually she will agree. I hope.

I agree with you Lee. the process is much easier now. so i would agree with you all things are different but you are right to convince a woman about this well that is another story in itself..

Maybe I should teach you couple of phrases in Russian. That way you can calm her down in her native language. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee, I am just shocked that your fiancee is ok with you having "a girlfriend"!

I am still trying to figure out if I can go to Prague for the interview. I want to go there for many reasons...but I have a lot at stake... decisions, decisions!!!

I wanted to go originally, but after some discussions with Marina we decided that it would be best if I stay here and take care of the moving and shopping for furniture, etc. Plus it would be better if when Marina comes here, I have couple of weeks of vacation, so I can show her around, introduce her to everybody.

I personally believe that if you have enough proves and your relationship is real you dont have to go..and u save the money..However, me on the other hand will NOT be able to work that day knowing he is there...I want every detail and what are the questions asked and how long and this and that...besides that I know they will know our love is real but just looking into my eyes...as a result, yes I MUST GO even tho it is very expensive...but the experience is worth it...ohhhh i almost forgot I also want to be there for him...so he doesnt go thru it all alone

I wouldn't worry too much, but it does seem to go faster once you clear the USCIS hurdle. I really believe it should be any day now.

It's true. After NOA2, it's lightning fast (especially when you compare it with USCIS).
