Thanks for the advice Liz, D and Jawi. I called and nothing yet. Its ok though I still have two months before I hit the six month mark. I now get to sit back and listen to you guys prepare firsthand so I'll be completely ready when its my turn.

Quick question for those that called NVC.....did you get a tracking number for your package?

Here's a tip I copied down for when our case goes to NVC, to track your package to the embassy.

How to track your case from NVC to Embassy:

When you know from NVC that your case was forwarded to embassy (mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case that was forwarded to embassy on March 20th 2009.

1 ~ Go to DHL TRACK

2 ~ Under track list, click on Track By Reference

3 ~ Type the reference in this format: EXP19MAR2009A, below that enter a date range and click track.

4 ~ A list of packages will come up and you can search for the city of your Consulate and it will show details.

Stan - I tried that and it didn't find anything.

Didn't work for me either, any other tips to get it to work?

Maire, had your SO already sent in DS-230 before you called for interview?

(Please see timeline for more detail)

Well not really. It's a situation where I am going to go to Prague and stay with her for a week and a half or 2. I'll need to get my RT ticket and then get her a ticket, later, on the same flight. Or just have her do everything alone and buy her a ticket to fly here. I'm concerned that If I buy one for her to pickup something will go wrong and she wont get the ticket.

Understandable about the things going wrong part... but I am confused about her not getting the ticket? You can also get a changeable ticket for a couple hundred $ more and then it has the ability to change the dates as well.

Maire, had your SO already sent in DS-230 before you called for interview?

Everything for Cuba is different....he has already all forms completed and needs to take them with him for the interview...he just has the medical tomorrow and we got it all

I don't know... If I buy her the ticket...she just goes to the airport to pick it up? She would have to go to an internet cafe to print a BP.

I set up my SO for example on Delta Skymiles, she can log on and print what she needs... Also I have Delta send me the online ticket and I then email it to her as well. I don't see why you would have to have her go to the airport to pick it up when she can do it from home (assuming she has a printer)
