I'm so excited to see my fiance that I forgot completely that I'll be having my 21st birthday in Spain with him!! It will be our first time being together on one of our birthdays.... But I could care less about being 21.... Or seeing Barcelona for that matter. I get to see my Hooooney!!!

:luv:

Understandable, however, Barcelona is beautiful, especially when you will be there.

And, Maire, STOP whining! :P

Oh yeah... The thingy swimming in your thingy made it to the other thingy!!!

NOT FUNNY!

And grumpy too! :P

CONGRATS Maire! That is awesome news!!! I've been totally disconnected this weekend, so I am just getting the word - SOOOO happy for you! Hopefully they get the rest of ours out SOON!

thank uuuuuu

iam out to smokey a ciggie i forgot the acronym for that

Yeah, Lets go smoke!

Dave, did you ride yet? I have forgotten the date, sorry.

Richard,

I sure did! It was yesterday. Special thanks go out to you and Lee_b for the support! Through friends and family like you guys, I was able to raise over $3500 for the American Diabetes Association and the even raised over $500K (so far). No problems with the 63 miles (that is 100 kilometers for most people on the planet) - my training paid off! Weather was perfect! I started at 8:10 in the morning and finished around 1:20pm (5 hours 11 minutes including rest stops/snacks etc). Then there was a little ceremony where two "youth ambassadors" spoke - it was moving hearing how two kids have taken control of this disease - one who was diagnosed at age 6, one at age 15. After that it was back home for a shower and some celebratory beers (and some food that was higher in carbs than I can usually handel - an advantage of burning about 4000 calories in one ride!).

Maybe next year I will have to go for 100 miles...

Dave thats good to hear that you were able to help raise so much money. My knowlege of biking is very limited, but it sounds like your time was good too. I would gladly help out again.

Well, my knowledge is limited too ;) But it was not too bad for a less than in-shape old dude... I am just happy to have been able to raise the money, finish, and remember my friend well.
