I am curious if its just my friends doing it to me or if this is common. My friends are all a bunch of ballbusters. I have heard every mail-order bride joke on the planet. They were pretty funny at first, but between the stress of waiting for the NOA2 and them joking with me its aggravating me to no end. Its all in fun, but OMG its driving me nuts and I can't let them know or it would be open season.

Well, I have not really gotten any of that...not sure if they make comments when I am not around though, or if it is because it is hardly "mail-order" when you met them while spending years overseas just traveling...

It could also be that they are envious...very likely I think...

I know this bothers everyone but i wanted to keep everyone informed that there was another approval. but it is a november approval again. no time to go backwards VSC..

I'm fortunate I guess in that all of my friends and most of my family are very supportive. The one I have the most "trouble" with is my Mom and even that isn't so much about me marrying someone from the Netherlands (or anywhere for that matter) it's more about the whole money thing with her. She completely FREAKED out when I told her Pat wouldn't be able to work for the first several months. She thinks he is just going to be "living off you" ....like he's doing it on purpose! I told her trust me, he'd work the first day he got here if he could!!! She's about the only one that drives me nuts about things like that.

I wish there was some way for you to mention how aggrivating it was without them harrassing you even more...

Well, I think with a new house, and a Hubby with no job, there is going to be a LOT of things to be done to the house! By the time he gets his EAP he will be running to get a job because it will be a break from the house renovations/"honey do" list... Just let your mom know this and that he won't be "idle"...you put him to *work*

So it is just my friends being douschbags. Like I said its kind of funny sometimes plus I have been guilty of doing similar things to them as well. What can I say we're just a bunch of guys who never completely grew up.

LOL...that's exactly what I told her! She's still freaking out and worried I won't be able to make all the payments on my own...or that it's going to cost me SOOOO much more for everything since he'll be here. I make it just fine with me and Jessie so one more person to feed isn't that bad!

He's actually very ready to start working on the house...it's an older one so it really will need some work done to it....thankfully he's a pretty handy guy!
