I left NOVA because of the traffic. I used to live in Sterling and work in DC. Once I lived in Alexandria and worked in Fairfax. The traffic sucks and I was just sick of the area. I moved to Tampa and this place is Laid back and the traffic is just "congested" not bumper to bumper stand-still for ever! The mixing bowl is something these folks here in Tampa would never experience! I love Florida!

Oh the notorious "Mixing Bowl"... I was taking a class in Springfield, right before that mess of roads, thankfully. I'm a laid back person also and all the rush in this area gets me frustrated. My honey and I will go out to Oregon or Washington when he gets here :D:D.

Good grief...9:30 in the morning and it's already 81%humidity and 80F outside! That walk felt like it took forever today!

I agree. Traffic sucks!!!!!!!!!! New York has plenty of it.

There you are! I thought you dumped us...lol! :P

Where would I go????? I am here as always. That is until Marina gets here. Then I will be M.I.A for a some time. HUUUUUNNNNKKYYYYYY PUUUNNKKYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought maybe work got in the way again....you've been kinda quiet the last few days! LMAO...I think we'll ALL be M.I.A for quite a while once our SO's get here...

Ha...hunky punky. When my honey gets here I don't mind if my laptop falls off a balcony, all I need is him..maybe food and water.

I can't be with out a laptop or PC. Actually she won't be able to. Her entire family is staying behind and she will need a way to speak to them. But as my brother says: "In-laws that are leaving overseas is a great deal".

thanks for reminding me iam stuck for having mine 6 blocks away from me grrrr

im gonna start charging for the use of my copyright

I am getting shafted on the whole in-laws as well. My mother-in-law lives on Long Island. Not as bad as Maire, but still. It doesn't get much easier for Oksana since my mother lives about a two hour drive from us.

My future MIL will be in the Netherlands but her and Pat don't talk much now and they only live a few miles apart so I doubt we'll have that much communication with her when he gets here. He has more friends he wants to keep up with than family...lol!

Hugs, Liz

I am curious if its just my friends doing it to me or if this is common. My friends are all a bunch of ballbusters. I have heard every mail-order bride joke on the planet. They were pretty funny at first, but between the stress of waiting for the NOA2 and them joking with me its aggravating me to no end. Its all in fun, but OMG its driving me nuts and I can't let them know or it would be open season.

Pay no attention to that. As long as you are happy, everything else does not matter.

I don't for the most part. Its one of those things where there are good days and bad days. I was just curious if it happened to anybody else. My friends have gotten fairly creative with it.

I face criticism on a daily basis..it sux people dont look beyond the visa and all that BS....when I went to Cuba..instead of people saying "wow they are in love" they would say "there he is working hard for his visa".....grrrrr

Aww, Lee...I'm sure it's very hard to take sometimes.

I'm fortunate I guess in that all of my friends and most of my family are very supportive. The one I have the most "trouble" with is my Mom and even that isn't so much about me marrying someone from the Netherlands (or anywhere for that matter) it's more about the whole money thing with her. She completely FREAKED out when I told her Pat wouldn't be able to work for the first several months. She thinks he is just going to be "living off you" ....like he's doing it on purpose! I told her trust me, he'd work the first day he got here if he could!!! She's about the only one that drives me nuts about things like that.

I wish there was some way for you to mention how aggrivating it was without them harrassing you even more...

Hugs, Liz
