I understood what you're saying. Basically, the fact that the service centers are so inconsistent in how many (VJ) applicants they approve is highly frustrating. However, you still feel like they are making progress toward approving your petition.

Exactly. :) I guess it's also true that every petition that's approved is one less in the stack on top of ours, whether or not it was sent last Sept, Oct., Dec, etc....

OK, finally left NVC, forwarded to USEM on the 14th, so I hope to be getting things scheduled soon, to all of you who are still waiting i pray for you all and good luck.

Mford you know we are pulling for you!

It amazes me, your case is an expedite, and granted you did lose some time with the RFE, but it has been 2 months to arrive at this point, . That does not bode well for us common folk.

Are you going to make it to the interview?

Greg

I also feel like CSC stopped cranking them out like they did in March. I don't know--the way I see it, there is little consistency in the general processing times of the centers. Just b/c they are now processing applications that were sent a month and a half before our submissions (in my case at least. I figure they are processing late-Dec and I filed mid-Feb) doesn't mean that my case will be approved in a month and half. Could be. But if they speed up, it could be sooner. If they slow down, it could be later (which I do admit, would suck). In any case, at least it's in the works and I'm getting closer to a window within which it could reasonably be approved. Does any of this make sense?

I think it all makes sense Chelartie (sadly). There is no rhyme or reason to the way business is done. I think the only thing that is proven here is that they are all hourly workers, there are no bonuses or perks for pushing papers.

I think the wacko icon you chose is perfect, trying to figure this out or trying to understand the process will make your eyes spin!

No sense AT ALL!!! Do you know that a few years ago, people got approved in a couple of weeks? Did you read the interview with the former adjudicator? He said it takes them about 15 minutes to go through the average petition and approve or deny (almost all get approved). With the huge increase in the fees in 2007, and the increase in # of people paying this much higher fee, they should've either increased the # of people or increased their technology to process these faster. It burns!

That's exactly it, NatPatBen!! You would think they would realize it by now that there is an increase in the number of petitions and get off their butts and give the people working there better resources!! 6 months to do a 15 minute job is just plain ridiculous!!

Yay for early January approvals! We're getting close (I know it doesn't seem close enough, though!).

I'm also hoping that maybe the number of petitions filed in January was lower than the ave. filed in other months. I mean, who has time to be putting together such an application during the holidays?!

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but let's hope!

Let's think the opposite. Because if we think there would be then you know what happens. there will be more then expected because that is just life. it's like waiting for the phone to ring and it never does. So let's say there are a lot and we can be pleasantly surprised if there isn't. LOL .. just kidding here.
