Do you know if it is true that all immigration offices have a quota for certain countries and when they fill it, they do not approve for those countries anymore, until the next quota is given to them.

I've never heard that before.

I do not believe that to be true. But somebody told me that is especially true for eastern European countries (i.e former USSR). Because there are a lot of people trying to leave that mess and move somewhere else.

Or any other poor countries, where standards of life a very low.

It wouldn't surprise me that they would do something like that though....with the way this whole process is, nothing they do surprises me. I'm with you though...I don't think they do that.

My BH is from that area. Living in Prague and there are not many people going through the US Embassy there on K1 visa or CR1 etc...

Nor are there many from Poland. I think much more from Russia and Ukraine... many organized tours there probably has something to do with that as well.

I have to say that this whole process is the most ridiculous thing i have ever been a part of. all the technology we have and they can't make this easier on all of us. i mean the IRS has the state of the art technology so why can't immigration so they can tell us what is going on. i am sorry but i am venting today because i find that all these people are setting up e pass appointment and they just type the Uscis or they call their senator and they say you are within the 6 months. what is this? if they want to look into you or want to know more about us then they should let us know by the website but i don't understand why it takes so long for all this.

But they cash our check or money order when they receive it. i want to do this myself. i want to get work and get money and 6 months later be able to send the work back to people. this is a good idea don't you think...

Your fiance is not from Ukraine or Russia. Come to think of it, when I look up table of Ukrainian petitions on this website, people are still getting approved. So that is a good sign.
