My point of that post was about the numbers they are working. They are behind about 4700 for the goal of october. The have about 22000 to complete by october. They approve about 6 per day. Thats 180 per week or 720 per month. So by october thats about 3600 if you add the last 3 months thats an additional 540 giving a total of about 4200. The math doesnt work or they are saying they will start to approve a lot more over the coming months to accommodate the projected number.

By-the-way the 38 approvals are only VJ..who know about ALL the approvals.

We can't really judge too much with VJ numbers vs their numbers. I think their numbers mean that they had an active number of cases of as of Feb 28 was 27216 K1 cases (their target for pending cases is "5 months worth" or 22,418 and they had an additional 4,798 cases at that time). With VJ, I think we see something like 1% of cases or something like that. I am not sure where you get 6/day...

I would love to have a table like that updated every month (or week). And for the update not to be done 6 weeks late.

Richard I forgot you are a dirty stinky March filer. Your word means nothing in this forum. J/K. With the way things are I am sure you got your cruise done properly cruises are cheap right now. Some of my friends just booked one and my jaw dropped when they told me how cheap it was.

We are all playing the waiting game and I am glad that we all have each other to get it out of our system.

I followed him...I filed in April

Cruises....I wanted to go on a cruise for our honeymoon but since we can't leave till we get advance parole.... no cruise for us :( I told the kids maybe next year instead we'd go on one.

You can do an Alaska or a Hawaiian cruise... they don't leave the country :)

Well....last I looked there was a BIG chunk of Canada between Alaska and the rest of the states....they don't consider that 'leaving'? Really? Well I wouldn't pick Alaska cruise anyways...I'm leaving Canada for goodness sake....NO MORE COLD! lol Hawaiian though....yeah I could deal with that one. Where are you going on your cruise?

I have done a Hawaii cruise... and I want to do it again... it is sooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful. In fact my SO and I are thinking of getting married on ship there in Hawaii.... (then I don't have to plan very much) :)

We are doing a southern Caribbean cruise... San Juan, Aruba, Dominica and St. Thomas... assuming I actually bought the tickets yesterday, RCCL charged my card, but I do not have a confirm yet... it was such a steal... advertised rate everywhere was 999 per person but I only paid 750....

Nice job on getting such a good deal Richard. I am a little jealous that you may get to get married on the ship though. I don't think my SO would go for it. I would love it personally. Anything to make life easier.

We are planning on beach wedding....cheap, simple, painless. lol We've both been married before and we are planning on minimal guests. I just don't want to get married in a courthouse. We thought about the ship thing but I dunno.....the few people that we will be inviting might not be impressed.

Just a little reading to help pass the time... :)

Royal Caribbean Wedding Brochure

Princess Cruise Wedding Brochure

I can't seem to the find the NCL one...

Apparently Princess is the only line that can marry you at sea... others do it while in port... which ain't too bad either :)

I don't really want to get married at the courthouse... the chapels here are either TOO big or not very nice... I am not sure how many people would actually come to our wedding since we don't even know when it will be... So I figure we can take the kids, have a nice small wedding at sea... and vacation at the same time... then in the future, we can have a ceremony for others... or NOT :)

Thats why I was thinking beach....doesn't matter how many show up! lol They have beach wedding companies in Florida, not really expensive unless of course you add in every option. We aren't going to be having too many people. The kids, his Mother, sister a few friends and my brother and his wife are hoping to attend. I think the kids would be disappointed if we did it on a ship and everyone wasn't there. They've been planning our wedding for over 4 years. lol

So I can go on the Hawaiian cruise after the wedding and not be leaving the country right? hmmmm......I thought I couldn't so we dismissed the idea of a cruise. I wonder if one leaves out of Tampa.

As far as I know, yes you can take a Hawaiian Cruise as long as it does not port outside the US. There are 3 types, one that leaves California and cruise to the Islands and then around the islands. One that cruises the islands, then back to the US (with a stop in Mexico). And then the ones that cruise just the Hawaiian Islands... which is my choice...

I don't know of any that leave the port in Tampa. As far as I know the ones that leave Tampa (Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Galveston, Mobile) all do the Caribbean Ocean and would be out of the question until AP.

I wondered that myself. I think that type of sorting is done at NVC. But I don't really know.

I heard that they actually do assign staff to particular regions. If that is the case, than our petitions might be in the same stack. Hopefully the person who is reviewing them actually works and not just comes to work to collect a paycheck.

I talked to my SO last night and I once again feel much more calm and relaxed. It turns out that I am just being a big baby. I really am an emotional retard.

I am talking to my SO right now. Both of us simply understand that this sucks, but there is nothing that can be done. Still WAITING.......
