Logistically for me, canceling the the fiancee and getting married would set me back at least a month, if not more. Then reapplying and winding up back on the bottom of some pile, I do not know if it is worth it in the short term. Long term who knows? Besides my form is moving up it is now 3rd from the bottom...HA!

Very good point!!!!

I know exactly how you feel on the 28 days being a long wait...I was like that in January before Pat came for a visit...it was horrible.. You'll make it though and you'll have a wonderful time!!

Thanks for understanding Liz! And by the way, you and and Pat look so happy and in love! So sweet!

(I keep trying to put pictures in but they say my files are too big so I'm trying to figure out how to make them smaller!)

So what have you guys been doing to prepare for your S/O to arrive?

I have started taking Russian language classes to be a bit more proficient and cleared up some closet space for Oksana. I am curious to know what others are doing.

Greg - This is great!

lee b - I'm not doing much at the moment....a little planning for the wedding but since we don't have a date yet, I'm just taking it slow on that. Pat's been here quite a few times and each time brings some of his things with him in his suitcase so I'm storing those for him. I'm staying with family at the moment so I guess the biggest things is looking for a house for us.

Hugs, Liz

I have also been trying to stay on top of my language practice. I have begun stocking up on Asian cooking supplies, mine are almost gone. Most important though, I am doing my best to start remembering to put the seat down!

Greg

i was the only guy in the house growing up. it has served me well in my adult life to put the seat down out of habit.

thats a good idea with the cooking stuff, but lets be honest I haven't even mastered the basics of my own culture. it may be a little too much to try taking on right now. let me get a few more weeks of russian under my belt and then maybe i'll be ready to tackle that borscht recipe.

My NOA1 was Feb 23 :D

Yeah, I've only done some general planning for the wedding but nothing set in stone. I like venue, photographer, dress, where we are going to accommodate his family/friends. I'm trying to keep thinks as simple and cheap (but classy!) as possible haha.

Plus Ash is visiting May 14th now!
