Hey samer. do I know you? Are you in OK?

anyway... AP can take as little as 1 day and we've seen them last over 2 years in some cases. Nobody knows how long AP is going to take so the best thing I'd recommend is if it is too long, email the consulate a request for some information. It probably won't do much good but at least it will draw attention to your case ensha'allah.

I'm calling Washington for updates....should I be emailing the embassy? or someone here? thx

Jackie

Jax, how long have you been in AP now? There's nothing wrong in shooting an e-mail to the embassy just to bring attention to your case (imho) We did when we had issues.

Some consulates are more responsive to emails than others. In our 11 mths of name-checking AP, only the DOS line and occasionally my congressperson's visa liason would get the "its still processing" info from the consulate.

OP - you may have to update your medical and your police report if the AP gets to a year. They may also want the 2008 earnings/taxes of your sponsor.

Be strong!!!
