tax return or transcript

ok I am going through my records and getting everything I need for my fiances interview, when it happens. I went to IRS website to look into getting my tax returns for the last couple of years and they offer two options. You can either get exact copy of tax returns or transcripts. The obvious question is.... are transcripts accepted or must I pay out the clams for the complete tax returns?

either of the two will do

transcripts are free, and you don't have to supply additional documentation as you would with just a copy of your return

I e-filed again this year and got my refund deposit yesterday. I wonder if my 2005 transcripts will already be available or if it takes some time. I'd like to go ahead and get them ordered so we'll have them for the AOS interview.
