Both are personal favorites. I have had them on vinyl LP records for many years.

The Ten Years After tune ought to be the theme song for the Dims if you listen to the lyrics. Mountain had another hit song titled "Nantucket Sleighride". Leslie West of Mountain was also in a band called West, Bruce, & Laing. They had a one hit wonder called "Why Dontcha". Another cool hipster tune of the era. One of the standard bearers of the hipster era as far as one hit wonders goes is "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly. I could probably come up with a few more one hit wonders if I put my mind to it. I grew up on that old hippie music. It made me into the conservative I am today. I liked the music, but couldn't really stomach being around the hippie weirdos that were my peers nor could I agree with their pie-in-the-sky utopian visions or views.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I hear you Peejay. Grew up with that music and can come up with many more oldies but goodies. Also hard to believe I seen each of these bands in concert. Well saw Leslie West in concert. Fat man could play a guitar and Ten years Later incarnation. Seen Led Zep twice but of course it was the same tour. In Houston and then Dallas. Even had tickets to see them again New Orleans but that concert got canceled because Plants kid died.

Nantucket sleighride was a great tune but not big hit.
