should i change my passport?

my visa just got approved (thanks to god) n im just waiting for it here in the philippines...i just wanna know if its mandatory for me to change my passport from my single name to my husband's last name...my passport is still valid for 3more years...or can i just use my passport now n just change it later....

pls help! thanks!

you can use it as is. THey only issue them for five years at a time :unsure: We had a real wild ride getting Claudeth's passport renewed in L.A.

thank you so much for that info...my husband wants me to change it n use his last name on it coz he said all the paper works on the visa states my name as his mrs so he thought i should change it..so ill just tell him now that i dont have to...thank you!

It will be fine my dear, my passport was my maiden name on it, i used my married name on my EAD and no question at all, anyway my passport will expire this coming July, 14 so im going to use my married name for the renewal.

EAD APPLICATION:

2009-01-10 ----- E-filed EAD Application

2009-01-20 ------NOA1 Receipt Notice

2009-01-22 ------Biometrics appointment recieved by mail

2009-02-11-------Biometrics Date (done smoothly)

2009-4-15 -------- EAD Approved

2009-4-24 -------- EAD Received by mail ( yyyeeeeessssss)
