I think some people deserve to be shot.

I wounder what tune you would be singing if your spouse was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was a victim from one of these cartels.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

No comments? Len? I am sure you can find me places in America where this also happens. Interesting that the word Mexcian once again happens to be in another article involving murder, violence, drugs etc. Or am I just stereotyping and targeting Mexicans. Fair enough. Can you show me how many articles you can find about Aussies or Brits or Japanese or Chileans or Germans or South Africans or Indians or Madagascans or Polish or french or German or Canadians etc etc etc being responsible for stuff like this in American.

What's your point and how does it tie into the OP article?

Yes - there is a lot of crime in Mexico and SA. Who knew?

That is not the question dh. The question was what percentage of immigrants from those other demographics are responsible for crimes in America or crimes against Americans???

What questions?

  1. What it comes down to is should even one American be a victim of crime from a foreigner? Yes or no?
  2. Which demographic of immigrants (legal or illegal) are responsible for the majority, or highest portion, of crimes committed in the United States ? New Zealders maybe?
  3. Which demographic makes up the majority of illegal immigrants?
  4. Which demographic is responsible for "found five men with their throats slit in August. They had apparently been tortured with electric shocks before being killed in a murder-for-hire"?

Seriously, did anyone actually deny the contents of the article - or did they merely dispute the suggestion that such things are representative of Mexico.

Why do we have to get into the "certain demographics" rubbish. Its just more proof that BY's reading comprehension is terrible and makes him look like a moron every time he posts.

It's not rubbish at all dh. Every one of the above questions can be answered with Mexicans. Or is this just a coincidence?

Then again, what is one to expect from a writer. Logic is not exactly your forte.

Hispanics perhaps - referring to people from Central and South America (as distinct from "Mexicans").

As to logic - I read the article, and I'm wondering what you think your questions actually prove.

As far as I can see noone has denied the claims in the article - only the extrapolation that its somehow representative of Mexico.

That is why I never said Hispanics. I have a number of Chilean / Argentinian friends and they are the nicest people I know.

The problem is with Mexico, Columbia and that northern region. Where crime and corruption is rampant.

I also understand that not every single Mexican is a drug baron or part of a drug cartel. We went through the same thing with black Americans where you guys twisted my words as if I said that every single black American is a thug and gansta. Which was never the case.

If you were referring to a broader geographic area why did you say "Mexicans" then?

Colombians aren't Mexicans, neither are Guatemalans, El Salvadorans, Nigaraguans, Venezuelans, Brazilians or Ecuadorians.

Surely "Hispanic" is the more general term...
