Legalize weed and you will cut down the violence in one day, the only reason the drug violence happens is because of the illegal status, just like probation for alcohol, remember all the underworld crime from that experiment that went south. You really want to stop this madness than change the damn laws.

Brilliant! And we could stop the illegal immigration problem by making it legal for anyone to come here whenever they want. Repeal the immigration laws. Open the borders.

I propose a road trip to Cartagena de Indias  . Lovely city, walled along the Colombian seacoast; really cool people, wonderful music. WAIT. It is dangerous and ALL people there are members of the Medellin Cartel. #######. OK, I'll go anyways :)

Ahhh... Cartagena...

Caught a crocodile there once, yes I did. Had a heart-shaped emerald inside.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Cartagena is probably the most beautiful city I have ever been to. It is out of a movie set! Love it love it love it.

Oh man! That's right... Saltwater crocs eat people. That must make some parts of Aussie land really dangerous mate!

On this side of the globe, people eat crocs. If ever you cross the Everglades and hit Seminole land- I recommend a breakfast of Scrambled Eggs and Alligator meat. Not quite croc, I know. I know.

Also check out the [jumping] Cuban Cayman... that little ####### can jump like 8 feet in the air!!!

Cuba must be such a dangerous place. And I think some of those caymans have made it to the US.

I remember a place called Juan del Mar, or something like that. It was a loooooong time ago (circa 1996), and I was all about the vibe of the Colombian people for me. i think they are one of the most enjoyable folks to be around. It was a large group since we were in Bogota for a Educational Policy Seminar at OEI; and if memory serves me right we stayed a a huge house downtown. Casa something.

Mija... Plaza San Diego... right next to the Santa Clara Sofitel.

I hope that Casa was Casa del Curato... but it is like a large boutique hotel.

Oh those empanadas e' huevo... omg.
