Hi everyone i have what may or may not be a (silly question) but here goes. when using the barcode instructions for the DS3032 form. after creating the barcode do i Literally CUT out the barcode with scissors and glue it to my DS-3032 form. or when it says cut and paste they mean using the computer application (cut and paste). the barcode seems very small after i create it on the ID Automation. im not very computer saavy, LOL.

Ive also read that some people have just handwritten their NVC case # in BLACK MARKER in the space. Is this also acceptable. Im the USC, so im having to get all of these documents together for my husband, who by the way c an not type, HATES EMAILING, and I KNOW he would screw up emailing the DS3032 anyway.

What is the easiest way for me to handle this. He will get the original DS3032 in ghana, sign it and i guess fax it to me and i express mail the fax copy off to NVC. will they accept a fax copy with his signature or they want the original form with signature.

I appreciate any replies, thanks so much. Congratulations to all of you that have been approved and good luck to those of you still waiting. Thanks again for your help. Van

Hi I noticed by your timeline, that you emailed your DS-3032 form the same day you received your NVC case#, i was under the impression you had to wait for the message that the form had been generated??? Im so confused about this. as i stated in my posting, my husband is NOT GOING TO EMAIL ANYTHING, he cant type all that information out, it would be full of errors.

what if i copy and pasted the DS-3032 template to my email account fill in all the information in for him and send it to his email, can he then forward it from his email address to NVC. in other words the original email will be from me to him, and then he will forward to NVC.

I called NVC they will not accept a faxed signature, i can fax him the document he sign it, then he would have to mail it from ghana to california. i guess that would save a little time. but emailing to NVC is not an option for us. unless i can do it they way i explained above. thanks for any ideas you may have.

vwtj you can fill out the email template and send it to your husband, he then should copy and paste what you fill out into a new email and send that to NVC. Or alternatively, you can log in to his email account and email NVC for him, that is what I did with my wife.

couple0426 - Blue ink is recommended as there have been a few cases were signatures in black ink, were viewed as copies of the document and not actual signatures by NVC staff. With blue ink the signature will stand out.

Thats a GREAT IDEA!!!! i already know that he will not cut and paste it correctly, hes not familiar with computers that much, and would erase the entire document by mistake. LOL!!! so you are saying i can log onto his email address, type it and send it myself, i will ask him to do that, when it is time. thanks for that tip.

HAHA!!!! you guys know all the tricks LOL. so should i do it tomorrow?? i just called NVC and asked them for the IIN# they said they dont have it, i have to wait for the bill to generate first. what do you think "P" . what harm would i do emailing the ds3032 before the bill is generated?? i dont want it kicked back if there is no record of my case yet. i plan to follow up with a signed ds3032 from my husband as soon as i send it to him and he returns it. (ghana mail) what did you do after you emailed it to NVC. when you mailed the form, did you use the barcode or did you write your NVC # in BLACK MARKER on the ds3032. when i printed the barcode its very small compared to the space provided. so im wondering what others have used for the barcode. just in case emailing is not an option. thanks for your advice. van

I waited until the DS-3032 was generated, just to be safe. If they get to reviewing the email before they generate the DS-3032 it can slow things down at NVC. Your choice if you want to take the chance.

Here's what we did:

Got our casae number from NVC.

I used the VJ Wiki template for DS-3032 e-mail.

We sent the DS-3032 from MY e-mail account. But I included my husband's e-mail address info in the mail.

Later just to be sure, we printed the DS-3032 form, printed the barcode, cut and paste the barcode to the DS-3032 sheet, and mailed it via EMS.

Today, they replied to my e-mail address that the DS-3032 has been accepted and the IV fee bill is on the way to the designated aggent.

HAHA!!!! you guys know all the tricks LOL. so should i do it tomorrow?? i just called NVC and asked them for the IIN# they said they dont have it, i have to wait for the bill to generate first. what do you think "P" . what harm would i do emailing the ds3032 before the bill is generated?? i dont want it kicked back if there is no record of my case yet. i plan to follow up with a signed ds3032 from my husband as soon as i send it to him and he returns it. (ghana mail) what did you do after you emailed it to NVC. when you mailed the form, did you use the barcode or did you write your NVC # in BLACK MARKER on the ds3032. when i printed the barcode its very small compared to the space provided. so im wondering what others have used for the barcode. just in case emailing is not an option. thanks for your advice. van

In my case there was no harm in emailing the DS-3032 before it was generated. If you are worried email it and then send in the form they sent you. Also, they will not give you the IIN#. It is against their policy so the only way you will get it is if someone gives it to you on accident. I ended up waiting to receive mine in the mail. Took about 2 or 3 days. But once you have that number you can pay AOS and once IV is generated you can pay it immediately.
